Cook your own damn food if its too expensive to eat right while eating out. Nobody is forcing people to eat out, make a salad at home and bring it to work for lunch if your worried about money.

i have been reading about the witnesses for some time - but the information i read is always massively biased against.

it is even hard to tell if this web site is exclusively designed for aggrieved ex-witnesses.

i am at a loss here.

Not everyone is as angry as some here, but these people have had something dear taken away from them and they feel hurt and deserve to be angry. Some have lost sons, daughters, parents, spouses, decades of life, money and careers to this religion. All because of this religion, so don't be surprised if people are angry. There are other people who haven't had anything wrong happen to them because of the witnesses, mostly people who haven't had any ties with them. These people feel indifferent towards them, and some even like them. But these are people who don't know the inner workings of the religion. If you care, you can always study about them.

First Holidays as a Non-JW

this will be the first year i go through the holidays as a non-jw.

and on top of that with beliefs that can best be described as agnostic.

basically i think i probably won't do much different.

This will be my first Holiday season since I left the JWs. I used to celebrate them before, and Now I am looking forward to them. I already celebrated my brother, mom's, sisters and my birthday and it was a blast. Halloween was SO much fun (club scene) and I'm looking forward to all the xmas/newyears parties. Thanksgiving will be fun too.

Its not about religion to me, its about enjoying LIFE.
