Life Is Probably Out There, Scientists Think

a new satelite, nasa's spitzer, has been scanning the universe and found organic chemicals as far away as 420 light yrs away.

the number of organics identified stands at 130. some of them are glycine and even a form of sugar.

furthermore, they were found in accretion disks, disk shaped dust clouds, where planets are forming.

Please don't call science a religion. Science is not a religion. Its a way to establish facts, through trials and tests, then evaluated by peers. Religion involves faith (belief without facts). Science and religion answer 2 different things. Science is slowly encroaching on religion's turf though, and thats ticking off theologist. But people want provable answers to why things are. Thats where science comes in. There are people who can't accept "because god made it so" as an acceptable answer.

If people blindly accept any hypothesis that comes from scientists, its that person's fault. Unless that hypothesis has been repeatably demonstrated as true, its just as viable an answer as religion gives.

Do you make active witnesses uncomfortable?

this weekend my wife and i visited with another couple, who although they are inactive, they also invited active witinesses to the their home along with us.

we knew most of the people there and they are aware that we are inactive - no big deal.

however there was one brother who did not know that were are inactive.

YESTERDAY'S ASSEMBLY SUCKED........

well, i got dragged, kicking and screaming talked in to going to the assembly yesterday as a friend of mine was in the drama.

what a freaking waste of time interesting experience.

first of all, i had a tough time squeezing my larger than life ass bum into a seat that looked like it was made for a house-elf small child.

Such is the glory of God. Just like in sports...The winning team thanks God and Jesus for being with them....Makes me wonder the the opposing team did before the game to lose his favor. Sacrifice a goat to Azreal or something?

Tricked into it as an adult: When you leave, you usually don't lose your entire family and way of life, you can return to normal.

Can we say anything good about the WTS?

i'm trying to develop a more positive attitude, so i'm trying to look for the good in everything, even the wts.

i think jws are good for the economy because:.

1. they spend money in tim hortons which provides employment for people and helps boost the economy.

They patrol neighborhoods in the AM so your house is less likely to get broken into.

Great for punchlines in jokes...

A great example for others when explaining "how not to live your life"

Really clean windows.

Great Websites like this are made to counsel those who left.

Good for the mental health therapists, who make money off of people trying to shed the fear of that God will kill them if they don't bother their neighbors every Saturday morning.

it allows you to search for a bible passage in several different translations, from king james to douay to original language hebrew and greek.

i am shocked, shocked i tell you, that the new world tranlation is not one of the options!
