Were you Stalked or Chased After Once you Exited the JW's by Elders ?
by flipper ini tried to fade off the map by moving 30 miles initially in 2004 after i exited in late 2003 .
the first several years they didn't bother me.
i ran into a elder from my former congregation in late 2005 in an antique store - he tried telling me i was wrong for stopping attending meetings.

Not myself personally but at age14:(51 years ago) My cousiins and I all JWs watched Elders staking out a man who we didn't ever know hqd been a JW. This was a 3 oclock in the afternoon as we were walkiing home from school. We thought they loked ridiclous. Another friend was staked out after she seperated from her JW husband she finally told them she was guilty of adultry even tho it was a lie to have some peace.

How to tell if something is true
by gma-tired2 inif jws had the true teachings they would not be afraid of members researching and listening.
the truth would be so obvious that they would encourage all research.
my 2 cents worth.

Elders- Have any of You faded Because of participating in a JC where the Arguments from the accused made sense to you?
by truthlover ini know the question is long, but it has occured to me that there are a lot of newbies here but before that, many ex elders, some co and do's that are no longer jw's.... did the publishers comments at a jc about the misconceptions, dates, and lack of holy spirit, etc.
make sense to you and did you start thinking about the failed prophecies, fudging the "new light" etc.
which caused you to slowly fade away.. .

Is it the GB's plan to NOT explain the nu FDS lite?
by outsmartthesystem inperhaps i am overthinking this.......but i may have come to the conclusion that the gb's refusal to address and explain in detail all of the changes mentioned at the 2012 annual meeting is in and of itself.....their final explanation.
from what i have gathered by speaking discreetly with those that are still "in" but on the fringe.......the information given at the 2012 meeting meant practically nothing to most jws.
in fact.....most are still completely unaware of the changes.

Finding love after Da Troof
by hamsterbait indo they go out in door to bore misery.
lets face it - the witless mating guide is just a checklist of behaviors that makes a potential mate.. how do you let go from this??.
sorry - have met so and am already going through this compatibility crap.

We were told to pick mates by spiritual qualities instead of finding mates by attraction.

thought on this topic off and on today. Yes they are afraid of each other. Why should they br any different then the rank and file. We all keep part of ourselves apart because of the fear of saying something not quite in agreement. They must be fearful because of their positions.

How many of you followed the WTS direction on education years ago and have been screwed by it?
by Julia Orwell ini'm really interested in this question because i've heard for years that if you forgo further education and go pioneering, when you have a family down the track you will get a good job because jehovah will provide for you because you pioneered.
as long as i was a kool-aid drinker, even then, i thought, "how does pioneering pay your bills?
surely education should come first.

I did. I wanted to be a teacher from the time I was in third grade. I would sit in class and try to figure out how I could be a teacher and so much of my JW wasn't encouraging. I knew even at that age flag salute, holidays, and many other things would not work. In high school I dropped from college prep classes because I would not need such a good education. The joke was on me. I am 65 in retirement years and the only thing saving my family is that when I realized life was going on I went to work in the school system I was rewarded a retirement pension.

Should Employers be WARNED about Jehovahs Witnesses
by BlindersOff1 inany gov agency or private company that has private personal info of customers/clients should be aware.
its common knowledge to long time witnesses that jws will violate customer privacy laws and rules when they see something a customer does or buys that they think jw congregation elders should know about .
thats right they will spy for the elders.. .

I still felt like a JW when I got a position as a supervisor, I soon learned to tell who were JWS by their talk and actions. Sad to say the ones I had working for me were demanding for their serving Jehovah. They felt they could miss work for any reason, (days off for service, assemblies, and anything else they could think of. We had certain weeks we told everyone not to ask for days off because it was too busy of time. They felt they were privileged even though no one could ask time off during these weeks, not even the bosses. (school district) I learned early to avoid hiring JWS if it was possible. I was so disappointed because I was still expecting great employees as we had always been told. I am retired so I can now admit it.

I ran into an inactive JW at the store we talked for 20 minutes
by RayPublisher ini ran into an inactive jw at a department store last night and we talked for 20 minutes easily, it was actually pretty fruitful.
so here's what happened:.
i see him and recognized him but he didn't know who i was at first as he hasn't seen me in at least a year and i've lost weight, have a goatee and dress way more awesome than i ever did as a dubb schlubb.. so i said hi to him by name and he says, who are you i'm not sure?

It WAS NOT JUST A SUGGESTION TO NOT GET A HIGHER EDUCATION we were told any suggestion was to be taken lighly it was to be taken the same as a commandment. KEEP WAITING
