I went to my high school reunions while still being a JW and so did my husband. It made me realize how much more I could have enjoyed school. I also enjoyed drinking without worrying about who would see. I also saw my JW classmate smoking and never told an elder.

Only got to the Pike once but loved the roller coaster. The kids from my congregation went to Pacific Ocean Park near Santa Monica the most fun JW kids ever could have.

Has anyone listened to Reggae / Rastafarian religious music?
by sosoconfused ini am sure that none of you here are rastafarians and neither am i. i have just noticed however that their religious music is soo freaking moving!.
i guess after years of kingdom melodies that had absolutely no form of feeling in them and were pretty much some guy plucking piano keys anything would be better.
but i literally sit here listening to some of these and almost break down crying.. .

Why elders' wives are such gossipers...
by Calebs Airplane ini have a theory as to why elders' wives gossip so much.
i believe a big part of it has to do with the conversation running dry (between themselves and their elder husbands) after so many years of marriage.
since they don't get to spend too much "quality time" together (because of the elder husband's hamster wheel schedule), when they do have some intimate time alone, the elder's wives will invaribly attempt to engage their husbands in any kind of interchange.

when my son and his wife seperated between the elders and their wives it was knowlege in several different congregation by the next day.. Then they tried to blame our family. This is under the heading why My husband, children and I are no longer JWs.
