Disfellowshipped? I fired him nothing personal. I would have the guy over and drink a beer with him. Unfortunately, he tied my hands. What could I have said to my customer? The only way I could save face was to fire him. BTW. Nothing motivates production like dragging a body across the floor every once in a while. I'm the nicest boss in the world. I have almost zero turn over. This is on him and he knows it. He is young and had to learn a lesson the hard way. Lord knows I have. I was once fired for bidding a contract against a company I was working for at the time. Lesson learned the next time I used my wife's maiden name to start an llc so I could bid in secret. life's like boxing the stupid get knocked out, the smart ones learn to put their gloves up and keep moving.

Interesting approach to FDS.
by Defianttruth ina few months ago, i had a customer call me and said my bid was different from my first quote by 40 percent.
i was very confused because i never gave a quote outside of the formal bid.
he told me the first "salesman" he talked to had given him the quote.

A few months ago, I had a customer call me and said my bid was different from my first quote by 40 percent. I was very confused because I never gave a quote outside of the formal bid. He told me the first "salesman" he talked to had given him the quote. I was very furstrated with this so I talked to my sales team and everyone denied giving a verbal quote. Upon further research, I found it was one of my techs who had quoted this stupid first quote. A little back ground on the tech. He is super smart, devoted to his job, and the second person at work everyday. I'm the first. For the last year or so, he had been my"superstar" tech. I had even talked to him personally about being the next person on the sales team. He wanted this badly. The sales guys at least double the techs pay and one sales guy triples the techs pay. When I called him to talk to me about this he came in looking like a child about to get a scolding. He reassured me his heart was in the right place and he was just trying to prove his worth. I had pretty much already made the determination that he would be terminated. I just wanted to give him a chance to tell his side. In the end, I had to let him go. Really upset me to do it, but he made his bed.
He got me to thinking. The GB claimed the anointed was the FDS for about 80 years. Now, the GB claim they are the FDS alone. More accurately they will be appointed the FDS. Meanwhile, they still use the title presumptuously. If we look at similar scenarios, we can see how this would work out in other circumstances.
The first, circumstance will be socially. Let's say Bob and Suzy have been dating for 5 years. They are madly in love with each other. Bob has bought a ring and has informally discussed marriage with Suzy. He starts going around town telling people he and Suzy are engaged. He has never formally asked for Suzy's hand in marriage or given her the ring. How do you think Suzy will feel when everyone starts to congratulate her on her engagement? Will she say it is okay because she and Bob were heading down that road anyway? After all, she would have said yes if he would asked her first. I am no expert on women, but I can say even with my limited knowledge on the strange alien creatures, sorry I meant wife and daughters, I live with currently. Bob would be in a heap of trouble.
The second circumstance is civil. George is a nephew of the King. He has been under the kings rule all of his life. The King has given George different assignments through out his service to the King. George is very efficient and fastidiuos. The King plans to make him a Lord one day or maybe even a Govenor of one of his territories. One day when speaking to his territorial ambassador the King is informed the territories Govenor has been treating the people of the territory horribly. The king's father had won a battle for the territory years ago and peace had ruled between the two lands for years and now the territory was talking war over the Kings's oppressive rule. The King asks the ambassador what has happened in the territory. The ambassador replies with offenses including the children of the territory being raped by the nephews men with no real punishments, needlessly casting family members out of the territories for made up laws of the Nephew and never allowing these ones to return home, and not allowing the people of the territory to receive medical help with many needless deaths. The King is outraged and says his son, The Prince, is the rightful ruler of that territory why have you been listening to my nephew? The ambassador replies the Nephew has said the Prince is a great guy, but because we are a territory and not a providence we are not subjects of the Prince, but we must obey every word of the Nephew the Governor. The King explains he never sent the Nephew to be Governor. He only sent him to make an accounting of the territories grain holds. The King looks at his highest General and commands him to fetch his nephew immediately. What do you think the King would say? Would he be okay with his nephew for treating the subjects so poorly they were now talking of war? Would the King be okay with the nephew usurping the Princes authority?

Thanks for the insult FS.
You know I stole the "man in the black hole" analogy from Steven Hawkings' "An Illistrated Guide to Everything". Let me guess he couldn't read a peer paper either. Please dazle us with your wisdom some more.
Step away from cult mode. Just because some doesn't agree with you it's no reason to attack them personally.

I have not watched the video nor will I. let me put this into perspective. What would happen if a man traveled through a black hole? Answer. It doesn't &$@!ing matter. The man would no longer exist. There would be no way to see him or communicate with him. In the second law of thermodynamics we learn the man will never come out and no part of him will ever be provable again. Physics is only physics if it can be proved until that point in time it is just someone's stupid idea. Please stop reading Huffington Post articles on science or youtube videos on science and placing any value to them. If one wants to learn a subject read a text book or a peer reviewed article.

MAS370 - Was it a Remote Hijacking?
by fulltimestudent inprofessor kevin barrett is not exactly the most trusted commentator you could find, but that, of course, just maybe because, there are people who want his views on 9/11 to be ignored.. anyway he's advanced a theory that the missing malaysian airlines plane was remotely hi-jacked.
in the absence of other evidence, it just maybe what happened.
to consider whether it did happen, we need to ask why it may have been hijacked?

I am now dumber for having read this. So, let me get this straight. Some one remotely hacked the SAS (stability agumentation system),AFCS (airframe flight control system), autopilot, or fadec(Full authority digital engine controls) To crash the airplane. First off an airplane can be flown without any of these systems. All the pilots would have to do would be to turn of the systems. They could have done this with the power buttons, fuses,or control buses. It might not be comfortable but pilots train for these types of emergencies all the time. These systems are isolated and protected from each other. No way this could happen period. Worst case scenario would be to turn them off and fly anyway. (All except the fadec which I'm sure is a redunant system on this aircraft.). honestly my money would be on the zombie theory before this.

Topic of Beauty

I have always wanted to travel to Rio for Carnival. This morining I was reading an editorial on Carnival that showed pictures of this years events. Wow Beautiful. I remember being raised as a JW and being told about the dangers of modesty. First off, I think Brazilian women are some of the most beautiful women in the world. It is funny. I can look at this pictures and guess what? I feel no need to have sex with anyone. I didn't lose control of myself. It makes me think about the well being of a person who can not look at a true art form and not destingiush the difference between sexuallity and beauty. Are JW's so messed up they can't see the difference. Makes me think that this religion brings in pervs by the basket fulls so people can feel safe against emotions they can not control. It's like looking at a greek statue. It's not sexual. It's art. That is atleast my humble opinion.
Also, what's up with the worlds thing with tiny women who look like teenagers. I am a man not a boy. I think a woman should look like a woman not a child. Do a google search for "beautiful American woman" and you get pictures of under devoloped way too skinny GIRLS. Do a google search of "beautiful Brazilian women" and watch out dangerous curves ahead. I think this is truly sick. Why do we as Americans sexualize a body image that is child like? Think about it. We have a whole generation of men who think women should look like teenagers, and a whole generation of women who try to look like something they are not supposed to look like. How many times have you heard a woman complain about her body. You look at her and think, "No, your beautiful. You don't look like a teenager anymore because you're not, but that's not a bad thing".
Sorry for being Random it's what happens when I have free time.

What science has left UNTAUGHT!
by abiather inwhen one goes deep into the science, there are things that suggest the existence of immortal soul or a caring supreme soul.
hence, the question is not about lack of proofs, but is all about whether one is willing to accept or not (mathew 11:14).
let us take some samples:.

"When an electron is excited from the valence band to the conduction band, it is considered as annihilated in the former and created in the later. Thus something which decays reappears again elsewhere. "
Wow!!!! Maybe you should reseach this on your own. Your key word will be lattice And ladder.
The word "considered" means a lot in this sentence. As it is a means for mathematical manipulation. Just as the + and - signs on a battery do not mean one terminal has a positive value and one terminal has a negative value. The words left and right could be substituted. It is simply arbitrary and is used as a tool for understanding. If I were you I wouldn't rely on a religion to find science. I don't know what your science background is and I don't want to degrade your efforts, why don't you read up on the conservation of energy.

What is it with teens/adults and dependency on everyone else?
by punkofnice ini've seen a lot of this lately here in the uk, where teens and young adults still depend on their parents when they live away from home.. some just don't seem able to earn enough.
some are on benefits.
some earn more than me and are in debt.

Interesting post. I agree with some of your points. I think where you went to school matters, but not as much as a few decades ago or atleast in my field. After an engineer sits for his or her PE certificate, no one seems to care anymore. If a guy went to MIT, everyone will know it, but I know of MIT engineers who are horrible at their jobs. I would guess more than half of the top engineering schools in the United States are State Schools. I wouldn't put Harvard in the top 20 of engineering schools personally.
Yes, the Military's main role is to fight wars, however some of the most advanced technologies are used to do this today. If someone joins the Military and wants to be a war fighter there are assignments that lean more to that aspect of warfare. I have a gentleman who works for me who joined the Navy as a teenager. He became a communications specialist and went to school part time with the Navy until he qualified for OCS. He became an Officer and an engineer. He worked for 20 years and became a Lt.Col and recieved a nice comfortable retirement. He was the youngest of 6 brothers from a poor family and could have never gone to school. He had a plan and used the system to his advantage.
In my field, the level of training has changed. In the 1960's some really smart people from Houston put men on the moon with slide rules and equations. Most engineers today do not have the level of proficiency with basic engineering skills entry level engineers had a few generations ago. However, most entry level engineers are much better with newer techniques than the older engineers. It's kind of a trade off in my mind. Personally, I would rather have a guy who was more experianced at current pratices than a guy with really strong old school practices. I think putting these guys together on projects is a great way to solve the gap.
Yes, I think students today are more career oriented. I think it has to be that way. The work force is getting more and more specialized with each and every passing generation. I would love to see a college catalog from the 1950s and compare it with one from today. I bet the catalogs of today are a lot thicker than the 1950s.
As far as the young ones being lost, I had a young senior level engineering student who didn't know how fractions worked with bolt sizes last summer. Some as[ects of learning have fallen over the years and some have gone up. I think colleges should focus on skills based training rather than broad general knowledge. Yes, I do think an engineer should be able to right a proper sentence. (as this submission shows I can not) However engineers should be exposed to more hands on training than happens now. I do not care if an engineer can tell the difference between a Mozart and Tchaikovsky, buy I think he should know a half inch bolt is not a 8/16ths bolt.
Your right. Children should have nothing handed to them. If you buy a child a $200.00 pair of shoes they will ruin them in the first week, because they have no appriciation for the value. If you make children work and earn the $200.00 pair of shoes, they will baby them and take care of them for as long as the shoes still fit, because they understand the value.
SDS and Black Panthers. WOW! I bet you would be an interesting person to share a beer with.
