Most of the very few comments where I am at were all cookie cutter parroting the sentiment that we MUST obey men (eldurrs) as rulers, rather than God. After all they speak for God now, according to the GB.

They said this in the past. Now the seven shepherds and eight dukes are KH elders. And even more special they are a "secret weapon". No one knows about them.

Three Comments & An Ass-Chewing

however today i just could not keep my big mouth shut.. it was funny that i even got called on....three times none-the-less.
of course 99% of the sheeple just sat with blank looks on their mugs this morning.

So, normally if I go to a meeting I sit and don't say a word through the entire ordeal. However today I just could not keep my big mouth shut.
It was funny that I even got called on....THREE times none-the-less. Of course 99% of the sheeple just sat with blank looks on their mugs this morning. So the conductor was scraping the bottom of the barrel.
My three comments warranted a pretty caustic ass-chewing though after the meeting.
Here they are:
Par. 3 The fullfillment of Isa. 7: 14, 16 is often applied to Jesus. However the "slave" says it MUST have really applied to Isaiah's son because the kings of Syria and Israel were no longer a threat to Judah in the first century. It HAD to be in Isaiahs day because the Assyrians were still a world power.
Par. 11 Unlike the prophecy of Isaiah in par. 3 that the "slave" said depended on the Assyrians existing for fulfillment, the prophecy of Micah 5: 1, 2 could not have been fulfilled when the Assyrians existed. The "slave" says this prophecy MUST be fulfilled LONG after Jesus was born, and the Assyrians no longer were a world power. It could only be a modern day "Assyrian".
Par. 11 The four conclusions written in the WT can best be regarded against the question in par. 5, "...do I put my trust in GOD, or in men?"
I thought maybe someone was going to get some "holy" water and throw at me. But there were a few I noticed that seem to have a spark of light come into their eyes about the double-speak.

Well my JW elder dad has lost his job...
by BU2B inas a little background, my dad became a jw in 1980 i think, went to bethel, married my mom in 86' went back for another year and then i came along... he worked in the auto repair shop at bethel while he was there, and upon leaving, continued working in this field.
my whole life they have been the type of jw parents that tell you how you will never get to high school, never graduate it, never get married in this system, never have children in this system etc.. i say this to illustrate the end is just around the corner attitude they have always had, probably because they fully bought/buy into the hype at the conventions/wt articles.
my father has no plan in place for retirement, and he is physically slowing down doing such hard laborious work.

Contradictory Timelines - Do they REALLY think we are this stupid?
by piztjw inso in today's wt, as brought out in another thread, it is the nations that make the declaration of "peace and security.
" yet just a few paragraphs later they claim, in answer to their own question of who declares "peace and security", that the bible doesn't say.. in the very next paragraph they say that angels are holding back the destructive winds of the great tribulation.
to answer their next question as to what those angels are waiting for they say the wait is for the "annointed" to receive their second sealing, referring to a 2007 q/r which says the second sealing is finished only when the "annointed" (including the gb) are in heaven.

Sounds like some of the piousneers in my town, and some of the eldurrs. They expected me to provide much "free" labor to keep them going, yet when I finally had enough and told them the "free" ride was over I suddenly was a sonuvabitch.
I may sound hard-hearted, but let them be like the birds of the field that God takes care of. They can get out and scratch and peck for food like the rest of us.

Am I following you so far?
Yes, I am beginning to confuse myself It appears they say the "annointed" must all die before the GT, yet they "annointed" will still be alive after the GT starts.
