Jesus prophesied that Russell would study and start a new group of preachers and teachers. It is not a matter of independent study but the sifting of the weeds from the wheat and study is what does the sifting. However those who leave JWs because of their so-called study aren't doing what Jesus stated.

Back in the 80s I wrote to him and argued deity doctrine with him. He was just like the rest in that he played connect the words. Jesus was called this and Jehovah was called the same, they must be the same. That is poor theology and scholarship.

here is the thing: i tried several times to watch the convention...i just couldn't seem to forge ahead with it.

Then there was the dramatization of the pioneer sister that complained about the other pioneer sister with the makeup TikTok type social media videos. it seems to me scripturally speaking, that jehovah's witnesses are emphasizing the wrong name.. it should be jesus, not jehovah.
