', it is normally due to some perceived or overt violation of loyalty, or simply to shut the employee up regarding the subject matter at hand.. i don't like the tactic, because it is rarely used in a one on one situaltion, but generally in the ear shot of other's, to squelch the matter.

Could you please tell me where that proof was Alan? I have looked for it and I couldn't find it. I'm not saying you didn't try. I just can't find it.

So far I haven't found anyone who would agree with you on this.

First, when logic and reason are abandoned by people determined to support a wrong premise at all costs, and expression of that premise is slanderous, name calling is often the only way to get their attention on a discussion board such as this. Perhaps not to convince them, but to get their attention. And such name calling, as you put it, is not "elitism" but realism.
That is a fact I picked up from many years experience on discussion boards.

You were asked to show proof of where Xena attacked your friends and you refused to do it over and over.

Here we go again with the word ATTACK! Geesh! Don't you guys know any other words? I did not attack anyone. I will not attack anyone. If I attacked anyone they would be in the hospital and I would probably be in jail. I do not attack. I disagree. When I say enemy, I mean in the sense that we have become polarized by the differing viewpoints on being friends with someone who uses those tactics. It's ok if you're ok with that. I don't mind.

How obvious is it? The name-calling is Alan's style. That is all I have seen. That's all we have to go on lately. I don't see any deep posts of Alan showing a concern for anyone but himself and a few of his friends. If you say we should just accept that kind of verbal abuse as his style then I say you are sorely mistaken sir. As long as I am around and I see that kind of arrogant, self-righteous bullying I will step in and call them on it. If you choose to stand up for the character of someone like that then expect the recieve some of the same medicine. Reminds me of a line from Lonesome Dove. "You ride with 'em....You die with 'em."
Please don't take that as a threat. It was illustrating the point that if you call a bully a friend you automatically call everyone that he abuses an enemy.

I have, at least twice, quoted your remark about stupid people biting the hand that feeds them. You chose to call me names instead of defending this fact. I'm getting tired of going back to find those words of yours that show your elitist attitude. It should be proof enough that you resort to name calling when someone disagrees with you instead of using logical reasoning.

However, supporting dogs who bite the hands that feed them is stupid.
Have any of you mental giants actually accomplished anything besides patting heads?

friends have been set against friends, reputations maligned and real tears shed, it is a truly painful scene to behold.. trying to ride the avalanche of emotions that sweep us along in these word-wars seems to be impossible without leaving behind a trail of sadness and hurt.. so i now pose a question.

the wts would have us believe that it is not possible for persons holding fundamentally differing viewpoints to be true friends, and that inevitably they will fight.

It is possible for friends to disagree strongly but it is not possible for friends to disagree then call names, belittle and show hatred and still be called friends. Do you know anyone like that? Do you know anyone that uses name calling as an arguement? Do you know anyone that calls everyone who disagrees a moron, idiot or braindead?

You have been shown over and over your elitist comments and you still refuse to acknowledge. Sounds like some JWs I know. I'm getting tired of going back to your threads and showing you proof. There is so much proof of your elitist attitude to choose from I get frozen with indecision about which to quote.

So quit asking for proof. It's been done and you chose to just say that it was moronic without pointing out where the 'flaws' were. You have had your chance to refute the charges and you have failed.

You have been weighed......... you have been measured......... and you have been found wanting.

Accusing one of child molestation on this forum where so many feel strongly about that subject is inappropriate even though we all know you were "joking" . You sure have a great sense of humor.

this is the internet, simply put, none of you know anymore about who the other really is or should judge them by the lack of emotional smiley faces in their sentence structure.. first to danny,.

we have spoken on the phone and exchanged a few emails and i consider you a good friend.

you are much like alan in many ways and in others very different.

You say what he says to innocent people, no matter how nasty, will not effect your friendship with him for one second. That is the kind of blind loyalty that I was talking about. I don't have any friends who would attack someone in such a way. I have walked away from some "friends" who showed their true colors. I have a certain level of acceptable conduct that I expect from people I choose to call friends. You are sometimes judged by the company you keep.

I was not trying to insinuate that you are a drunk, Dave. I was saying that if you spend time with someone under the influence (you were the one saying how many bottles of booze you went through on your visit together) it's sometimes hard to get the true personality. You see, it isn't how we act when times are good that defines our character. It's how we react to the hard times that shows our true inner self.

The funny thing is.......Alan is defending people who, first of all were not attacked. Secondly some feel that the statements that were made were valid and Alan has as much as comfirmed those statements.

This whole thread could have been stopped by Alan himself but he continues to show his elitist attitude, intelligence, and lack of feeling for fellow humans by posting one insult after another. You'd think that an educated man that does so much research could come up with some better insults. Just another manifistation of his "intelligence". If anyone wants to call this an attack....I would have to agree. Notice how many times I said STUPID, BRAINDEAD, MORON, IDIOT etc....
