Love builds family's?? HA!!! OMG Interestingly I just asked my older sister when was the first time she remembers "Mom and Dad" telling her that they love her,.. she said she remembers Dad telling here when she got married,.. a very terrible situation leading up to her gettin' married and out of the house at 17.

I remember NONE,...... NADA,.. 'cept when we "patched" things up at age 22.

Guess the society has figured out that their demise could be that lack of "love", seeing as how it all stems from the family, and they only do what they are told and taught to.

I Remember the BS of having NO natural affection, are they trying to cover their own A$$? I was taught that this was in relation to those that kill their own children, torture etc. etc. The form of torment the society has created within family structures definately fits into this catagory in my opinion!! Cuud this actually be the policy of DFing fulfilling the prophecy of having no natural affection??

This was just my case, I am sure that there are some out there who had parents with sense enough on their own to think, without waiting for a command to love thier own children.

Love your children,..lesson learned

Advice? Domaine Registration & Website Hosting

would one or two of you computer and web savvy individuals, please impart some advice for me, where and who with, to register a domaine name?

and of hosting companies, any reccomendations?

storefront required, ecommerce enabled, below 50 products, expandable, plus simple information page or two, plus links etc, contact details etc?.

Whoa! I checked out you hubby's website,. thats kewl!!

I Use 3 or 4 different programs,. sum to convert graphics,.. sum just to open and export to my main program, which is Signlab,. thats the one that I specifically use for vector format (line drarwings,hehe), to cut on my plotter.

Adobe illustrator is great,..not user friendly, then there is corel draw. Point size and fills and Raster, and vector graphics is the most confusing world out there, people have no idea,..

Soon, I hope vector graphics will begin to fill up the Net, SVG, scalable vector graphics is the latest buzz at an attempt to make conversions to mainstream vector usage, as is warranted,. they are crisp, clean, and bandwith friendly. OH chit,.. I'm rambling!!

I have tons of graphics you guys are welcome to any, just email me and I can help you with more in the line of directions of what you need to use them with. It may be possible to just get a viewer to catalog to print and use them from there. Currently I am attempting to catalog all of mine,. up to 6,000 or more and still have thousands to go! Rambling again!! Sorry.

I do computer graphics.... make 'em on vinyl,. like stickers or, as "We" like to call 'em, Decals.

I thought about offering to make some for Simon and for bill @ Silentlambs, donating to them so they could generate some revenue with them. Like the www. decals, or anything logo-wise, one I had in mind for Bill, is of a baby in hands.

Here is a pic of it,I ran across a while back and converted it to Vector and can output it to plotter, I've been wanting to use it somewhere but haven't been able to yet.
It is one of the most precious things I've ever seen, think I'll mess with it a bit and then make the offer to Bill,... any suggestions welcome.

P.S .I can make anything, stickerwise,... vinyl etc.

Ex-JW fundraising ideas

in chat tonight, i enjoyed the opportunity to talk to someone here who is actively involved in doing fund raising for different ex-dub projects and organizations.

i thought that was really a cool thing to do and wanted to pass a few thoughts on to you good folks to think favorably in this direction.. im not soliciting for any funds here but rather ideas of how different individuals might raise some capital to donate to the cause they see important.

i know there are many generous people out there and that is all well and good if you have the funds you want to contribute but i was thinking there may be additional ways that we could raise capital for projects without resorting to asking for collections.. some of the time honored ways of doing things like this are bake sales, selling candy, or some other product.

An Opinion Question

do you think that it is better to be disassociated or disfellowshipped or do you think that drifting away is the best option?

I've struggled with this one for a while.
While DA or DF is the enivitable, it pains me to say that.

If drifting away can be done and the individual can get closure, then thats the way to go, as it will allow some contact and possibly give some hope of helping loved ones. Not to say we don't have to play by their rules, just remember that those "rules" are what will eventually come between you and family or (so-called)friends.
Remember to get yourself out and get some closure, no guilt, no what if's, nothing. Take care of you first, then help others.

how to sue the WTBS?

i was just wondering i was in the organization 38 years and i feel cheated out of all those years i was in.

or how about when your disfellowshiped and your family alientates you from their lives.

Hmmmmm,. sue them,. lets see,. in a Court of law!!!??

Somebody said they'd been in 40 plus years and only knew of 1 who tried and never got to square one.

Then a class action lawsuit was brought up, interesting,. might take millions,. maybe just as many in body bags just to get some attention, but like orangefatcat said what lawyer in his mind would take on such a task.

Breech of contract,. naaa won't fly.

Then was mentioned,.. the orgs 'Achilles Heal' is how much they run the religion like a business enterprise,. true true true,. but no Jury wouldn't think all we wanted was money,. as might be the case fer me and some others, BUT that'll never make it thru the appeals at all. .Time wasted and lots of money. Then the elders culpability was questioned,...Ignorant, pompous bastards that they are will never feel the crunch, not gud enuff.

You can't sue a religion for being wrong about doctrine, was said... with the focus today on religious fervor such as the Taliban and in recent years the Scientologist fiasco, Waco etc. etc. there just might a way to tunnel into the mindset of peeps today taking this perspective. The general population is concerned about doomsday type predictions in religion,.. IT IS A FACT. And we all know what is taught behind closed doors.... long after the honeymoon (bible study) is over YOU DIE, WE LIVE,.... (oh so happily).

But still is that the best way,... or court?

Human Rights was then brought up,. aAHaaaaa,. lemme think.. Humans,.. rights,.... Life,...

The general population is concerned about doomsday type predictions in religion,.. HUMANS,.. RIGHTS,. and RIGHTS to LIFE,. LIFE as THEY know it,.. Not as JW's know it.
They will never KNOW how hard it was to live thru a young ones life as one of Jehovah's Witnesses,. we DO, we lived it, WE were there,or some,if not most. SO were they, so some of them WILL relate, and remember. Even feel sorry for "us" as they did back in 6th grade wondering why we couldn't have that cake or had to go out of the classroom during the pledge of allegience, or dressed like we did, or never knew what was on Saturday morning cartoons. Wondering why we were in their neighborhood that early Saturday morning and not playing, watching cartoons, or wrestling, or riding dirtbikes on the trails or at baseball practice and or games.

Here is where it gets POWERFUL,. and NOW is a prime TIME people.
These People will remember, and we CAN strike a chord!!
BUT WHERE???

In the COURT OF LAW, NO!

In the COURT OF PUBLIC OPINION!!!,... beat the society at is own game!!!
Get the werd OUT!! How do we do this???

Me thinks a book, I have been reading and reading on thes site and a few others for quite some time now and I cannot believe how many people there are out there that have so so so many similiar stories!!!

I actually stayed awake literally all night long one night thinking about some of the stuff that I had read on here and about my life and the shit I had been thru, and thought to myself,. (WE) these people need to be heard,.. not to mention my own story..... OMG (oh My God),. I couldn't even begin to put my story on even one of the threads it would take a week!!! I have however started writing about it and it is up to 12 pages so far, then I think of this and think of that and it is just mind boggling trying to comprehend all of the lives affected by the Organization we used to call the society,... the truth, the place so many lives have been lost to. OKAY so back to the point!!

We need to put a book together,. A book of lives lost,. a chapter can cover your life,. The losses, the degradation, the lack of acceptance, of love, of a promise to never come, of parents that never speak to you, of lifelong friends never to be heard from ever again.

This is not to even mention what we suffered on an even more intimate level at the hands of some of the oh so faithful brothers who touched those of us on an even more personally uninvited, unwelcome, way.

Name this book NOW……………

It’s a NY Bestseller,.. split up the profits,…… shine the light,...expose the “Truth” , Win first and foremost in the court of public opinion!!!

Dylan the Danger-Mouse

we went to a whacky warehouse on sunday afternoon for lunch with my little brother who went back to uni.

this week (he's not so little anymore).. a whacky warehouse is an english pub / restaurant with a huge kids adventure playground inside.. liam went round the junior bit and dylan started playing in the nippers area with a slide into a ball pool etc.... he eventually decided that he wanted to go in the big bit with liam and was made up when after 8 or 9 attempts he managed to get up a big (for him) step and down the other side into the biggest ball pool he'd even seen.. he then started sinking.. we were all set to go in after him when a bigger lad helped him up and a few kids together helped him negotiate the step and back to safety.. off they went again, liam back in there and dylan back in the little bit.

a while later and liam came out complaining that he'd fallen over or something.

This past weekend I took my 5 yr old son to a B-Day skating party, yes Dad did skate, I haven't done that since Sunday night skating with the JW's when I was a Kid.
We skated around for a while. I was right behind Dev(my son) watching closely. Then we go and play a few games Dev decides to play some more games after that he said he wanted to try to go around all by himself, so I said Ok go for it, and he did 4 or 5 times all by himself with Daddy watching nervously.

He took a break and wanted to play some more games, then he decided
he wanted to skate some more so I said, "Ok, lets go", when I was about to get on the floor he looks at me and says, "no Daddy I can do this I don't need you to help me", I was kinda proud and sad all at the same time.
So off he went independence, confidence and all. I just stood back and watched the little guy, he was doin pretty good and goin' quite fast. They sure do grow up quick.
