Good post. I know exactly where you're comming from. Behind our big tough poses and odourous exuberences we're all frail little butterfly's whether we admit it or not. No amount of bluff and bravardo can hide it. (i've proved that by sneaking into some of the hardest heads on the nett, rearranging thier furniture and rattled thier cans till they crack .. and believe me they all crack .. It doesn't matter whether you're an ultra serious, watchtower destroying fogass from Virginia or a megamouth trucker from Oklahoma (hi Todd! lol)

The Watchtower is evil IslandWoman. Yes, as individuals the argument that Bethel is crammed with "victims of victims" may well hold true. But as we are all here painfully aware, the system set up and run by the watchtower society throughout the earth is condusive to splitting families (one of the worse evils in my book), promoting self agrandisment, mental entrapment etc... etc.. The organization is a mind numbingly male oriented saucage factory for bland unreasoning propaganda of the most myopic ameri-centric bible bable bullshit the world is likely to see outside the flat earth and 6 day creationists reading room in Tellahussy New Mexico.

Do you hate me?

perhaps i'm just a bit paranoid..but i get the feeling that there are a few posters that actually hate me (before its assumed--no i'm talking about lack of responses to my threads.. and no i am not talking about a disagreement of opinion) i am talking about a few posters that come across to me as very hateful in their responses.. and yes i know that not everyone here will like me (even though i'm so darn sweet and cute...lol) but it is an intense animosity vibe that i get and can't seem to shake.. maybe i am mistaken and maybe its just me..... but if there is anyone out there that does dislike me that much---i am curious as to why---only because i try to learn and grow everyday and your input would be especially valuable and probably essential to that -growth.. so whats the verdict---do you love me, hate me or just not care either way?.

it played on mine yesterday.

ive got a very expansive view across the melbourne flatlands and yesterday i looked out the back window and saw this dark grey storm wall coming in with rain so heavy that it was like a solid sheet of grey, swallowing the land.

Melbourne flatlands? .. bet there not as flat as Adelaides lol. The only Armageddon we are going to face will be personal, whether it be a falling tree or the slow winding down of a long life. For a long time i thought my armaggedon came in 1975 when my father suddenly died. A few years later some other bad things happened that tore my life asunder. We carry on, we rebuild our lives we survive. The most rediculous thing for me about the JW mindset is a completely perverted and distorted view of human nature. It was a wonderfull mind clearing revelation for me to learn that "worldly people" are just people. The vast majority have no interest in hurting anyone else but just want a happy peacefull life for themselves and all around them (how else could the world go on?)

I see religion as an impediment to human growth. People need it though. Even the WBTS serves a need many have and for that reason i can't see it ever disappearing from this planet or any other we eventually inhabit. We can just count ourselves personally lucky to have been imunised from the subserviant ignorance and mental prison of totalitarian religion in it's myriad of types and anti-types.

so let's all get on and have an average life

i don't post much nowerdays but on returning here after a break it strikes me how serious minded many of you are.

well that's all fine and dandy, serious people got rights too, but i do wonder why it is that jw's (once a jw always a jw in my little black book of sigmund fraud ;) are more seriously disposed and want to argument than the population in general (don't argue with me about this people i done a survey) .

(i won't be looking exploring the mines any further till next year .. but i have exposed part of the quartz seam and it will form the rear wall of the fire bunker .. if i strike gold i'll try and ignore it ... it's bad enough with my neighbour Neville get'n gold fever all the time without you going daffy duck on me! The gold 'll wait. Eric the excavator works great but i keep cracking his nuts .. it wasn't designed for lifting logs and such. (it was a big relieve to find out what simple machines they are.

Eligah - Great to hear things are good with you ol' buddy. I have a lot done and much to do back home. I've been having a ball, building etc.. I hope to post some pictures later in the year if i can con hippicon or stephanus to do it for me.

Currently i'm setting up a blacksmith shop in the barn to forge all my own door locks etc. I was lucky enough to pick up an entire set of old tools (anvils, swages, tongs etc) .. I'll be making a giant old style double bellows next month and a large brick forge to feed it into.

I joined a group called WIRES (wildlife information and rescue service) Sat the course and the silly galoots let me in. (mostly women with rescued marsupials up thier jumpers) They're grooming me to be the representative of the south coast branch (see what happens when ya raise yer hand at a meeting!? .. a man shoulda known better .. trouble is the meetings are held in private homes and on farms with lots of food and playing with rescued animals and such ... hardly know it was a meeting at all ..lol) I'm building a big chook house for the placement of injured animals (wombats and possibly owls and eagles if i pass the rapter course) I guess I'm tell'n ya this stuff in view of yer own foster parenting adventure (they only trust me with animals though .. besiders - I don't never wanna live with teenage people again

in britian every city has its own accent and local words that people use.. if you worked a council estate in cardiff you were joe-va's witnesses.. a reply on the ministry could be "you joe-vah's witnesses is it?.

i remmember working in shefield and people would call each other "ducky".

what were witnesses called where you live?

In Australia we all speak our Queens english. A Jehovah's Witness is a Jehovah's Witness (though most people give up trying to pronounce such a difficult name and just grunt or mumble something like 'not interested' . In fact the expression "not interested" is so popular at the approach of an oncomming witness it's only a matter of time before the WBTS registers the name to prevent it becomming a breakaway sect of it's own.

Gee wouldn't it be neat at the doors ... get in first - "g'day, i'm one of Not Intersted and i'm calling to offer you a free home bible study" ... aaaa
