It's kind of funny, I can't remember anything that was said at the assemblies but can remember being there and the fun I had going on the trip. I can remember the girlfriends I met at the assemblies and the volunteer work I did but not a single subject. Well, I do remember one subject given by Ray Franz, sort off, about the men of old spoken of in the bible were with us now. This was in NY back in the late 50s or early 60s.
I can't remember anything about the Ministry School I went to in NY except the work we did on the farm, flying in an airplane with a brother who flew there from Az. I also remember the night my wife came there at the end of the school and the good sex we had that night.

most of them fall into the "i accept the lord jesus christ as my personal savior" class.
they are still extremely attached to the old "forgiveness of sin through the shed blood of jc" line.

Man can misuse his free will and we need to rely on God's guidance when using it.
If it's free will why do we have to use it in a non-free way, guided by some one else. It's sort of like saying we have free will to pay our taxes.

History of the Bible - JWs will not like this
by Amazing1914 inhistorically, the bible is a secondary support for christians and jews.
i was raised roman catholic, and our tradition and practices included the bible, but it was not a key centerpiece of our faith.
the jewish side of my family likewise have a rich history of tradition and faith that is lived, and not pinned down to every word in the bible.

I have come to think of the bible as a book composed by men who wanted to believe in a God and created their own views of what he is like. There are so many different views given in the bible of God's feelings about humans and what they should do to get his favor that I can't take any of them seriously.If you want to believe in a God, that may be good, depending on how your religion teaches he wants you to act. Should we kill all those who don't believe in him as was done in the Jewish history in the bible and the crusades or should we be like Christ supposedly taught?
I think I will just make up my own personal religion and not expect anyone else to follow my views, I won't even write a book about it.

I wonder about this statement:He can always get it right from the first time.
He created Adam and he turned out sinful. He appointed David as king and he did several things wicked, Moses didn't even make it to the promised land. Judas was appointed one of the 12 apostles and betrayed Jesus. Soloman fell for a bunch of women, Samson fell for one too. When it comes to picking humans I don't think he does too well. It makes me wonder about that statement.

What kind of safety precautions do dubs take for field service?
by Check_Your_Premises indo they provide guidelines about safely entering homes?.
if a jw enters a home for the first time, what kind of safety precautions are taken by the car group to ensure the safety of the jw?.
for instance i was shocked to find out my jw wife wasn't instructed by the elders as to which homes belonged to registered sex offenders.

I remember back in the 40's a sister was calling on the homes in a black neighborhood in a town near here and she was raped by several of the men there. If I remember correctly they were given the death sentence back then.

multi language kids
by Mulan ini am taking care of two of my grandchildren this week, while their parents are at a business seminar.. today when i took them to school, a large group of kids got off of a school bus and were chatting away in spanish.
then some other kids walked past talking in an eastern european language, i think.
some others were talking another language i didn't recognize.

Learning a different language might be interesting but I don't think we should have to push "1" in the USA on the telephone to get an English speaking rep. We are being overrun by illegal immigrants from Mexico here in NC.
