I knew a brother who had a cleaning business and he made a good living. He had a condo at the beach and a nice boat that we went fishing in. He made more money than I did. He was killed in a car accident several years ago.

i need some help in understanding something that's been bothering me for a while, please give me some insight on this.
i often see posts here where some take shots at elders and witnesses for working as janitors and window washers, and it's always bothered me.
i mean does it really matter what they do for a living as long as they are making a living honestly?

have the society made mistakes?
yes, without a doubt.
there are failed predictions and with 100% evidence for anyone to look, to see this.
Most all have one thing in common, in order to have a good life after this one you must please some invisible God through worship of some sort. Some have a little different slant on what life is, some think we are part of God.
The one thing they all have in common is they can't prove it's right by any real evidence, only by emotional brain stimulation.

today while unloading my groceries, i witnessed a random act of kindness... someone in a ford explorer was waiting for a car to leave a parking spot so they could pull in there, they had been waiting for several minutes when finally the car in that spot backed out and left.
before the person in the ford explorer could pull into the spot, a lady in a ford taurus pulled on into that parking space.
the person in the ford explorer who had been patiently waiting, just sat there, they didn't honk or flip the person off, then the lady in the ford taurus realized that the other vehicle had been waiting for that spot and backed out to find another spot, letting the guy who had been waiting have his spot.
I mowed my daughters yard for her today, does that count?

ok, seriously people, can anyone here say they honestly enjoy las vegas?
what an utterly depressing place.
my wife and i went there for a "wedding".
I went over 40 years ago, don't remember too much of it though. I didn't gamble then, still don't. I remember a big lake not too far from the city. That's about all I can remember except your change was usually silver dollars in LV.

does anyone remember the old q&a sessions in meetings?
where all the dubs would answer as many questions as they could in x amount time?.
looking back, i remember not only was it super boring, (everyone was quiet and you could hear a pin drop) but it made sure all the rank and file were well and truly brainwashed mum/stepdad/friends used to all get their head down, scribbling away and hoping that they'd do well.
That's the first time I've thought of the written review in years. I knew all the answers back then. That was in the 50s.

i came across an interesting site the other day and below is an extract from one of its web pages (does anyone know if the following is actually true as i've never read the quran?).
no wonder so many muslim men wear baggy trousers, it's to hide the erection they get when they look heavenwards!.
what i don't understand is what's in it for the women?
Mohammed must have had a small winney and if he was with a woman that had seen a normal one she would have laughed at him.

i remember this sister that used to come to the memorials, not sure where she was the rest of the time, that would partake of the offering.
i mean she would take a gulp of the vino and the bread and not one person said a thing.
how did they know they were a part of the super friends?
I knew a couple of women who partook of the emblems. One was my grandma and the other was my mothers special pioneer partner. The special pioneer had a hart attack at the memorial and died that night.

i'm currently reading richard dawkin's book the ancestor's tale and it suddenly struck me that evolutionists believe all men are equal seeing that we all came from a common ancestor.
that being the case, would it not serve man to believe in evolution?.
turn on the t.v.
The more I contemplate life and why we are here the more I realize there is no answer that can be based on facts. All answers are the results of thinking about it and how we may feel about it in our inner self. I think the conflicts could be solved if everyone cared about others but that will never happen, so enjoy you life where you are if that's possible.
Evolution is happening but I wonder if we are evolving up or down??

in the spirit of badboy's threads, i too must ask this question.
Haven't you see the pictures where they stood in line, two by two, just waiting to go into the ark?
