my fiance and i visited the grand canyon and sedona last weekend and i was deeply impressed.
i'd never been to either place before then.. the grand canyon was so unreal!
it was snowing there which was just beautiful!
I drove out from NC back in the 60s. There were no interstate roads then. I had a 1953 ford that I had installed an Olds motor in and it ran great. I drove from Phoenix Az through Flagstaff to the Grand Canyon and then to Colorado Springs through the Indian reservations and the mountains. I will never forget that trip. Very little traffic back then. I just used a road map and picked my own route. I used route 66 most of the way out to the west. Too much traffic to enjoy it that way now.

you cant change people no matter how hard you try.. money is important as we need it but happiness means more than money.
A very good question. Time flies by faster as you get older and things change from day to day. The older you get the more you realize you don't know much of anything. Don't get yourself in debt before you retire and don't depend on your job lasting too long as a lot of industries are failing because the CEOs are draining them dry and don't care at all about the employees.
Get an education while you're young if possible. Learn to be responsible for your actions. Sex can be great or it can ruin your life. Try not to do things that will haunt you the rest of your life. Try to enjoy each day you live.

after telling us that only jehovah was god, and he was our only heavenly father, this verse below really bugged me when i first saw it.. isaiah 9:5. for there has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us; and the princely rule will come to be upon his shoulder.
and his name will be called wonderful counselor, mighty god, eternal father, prince of peace..
God, did he make it hard to understand himself and yet we are doomed if we don't. Maybe our simple brains couldn't comprehend what God really is. It seems man has invented so many Gods that we can't determine what is real or just some man's made up view of Gods.

my right leg has had a little pain for about a week, but yesterday it began to hurt so bad i could hardly stand it.
i stood up straight and bent back alittle and felt my back hurt, evidently the nerve is being pinched.
don't know whether to go to a doc or wait a while to see if it gets better.
I used Google and I think I can diagnose my back problem better than my doc, since I can feel what is going on. I think it will get better after a few days if I take a few walks and take it easy. I'll give it a try and see, since the doctors office is closed during the weekend.

question, if everyone who professes to be christian are going to heaven to rule as priest with jesus, who will be our subjects on earth?

Let's see, who should I agree with? Maybe I'll have 70 virgins up there, maybe I'd rather be Soloman here with 700. Maybe I should try to be like Christ and not have any women. There must be something sacred about women though, since the bride of Christ comes from both men and women, so the men must be changed to women.
Maybe I should just stay here and pet the lions since they will eat straw like the Ox. Maybe I could knock one of those riders in Rev off his horse and ride it forever.
I think I will wait for a revelation from God to get my mind straightened out so I can understand what the hell he's talking about in the sacred books.

the wbts has published many of these, where money is found and returned to the owner .with a reason,because i am a jw.in this issue,there is a big picture of nelma:a woman from chuzeiro do sul,brazil.she apparently found $1000.00 in the pockets of some trousers that were donated because of a flood.nelma returned the money to the businesswoman who had donated the clothing.this lady was overjoyed to receive the money,because she had set aside her payroll for her employees in a trouser pocket.. should they(gb/fds) be idolizing these honest people?.
note:no man should be idolized.christians should guard against idolatry.it means giving such a one a measure of worshipful devotion.but god explicitly stated that he does not tolerate such a thing.however,they (gb/fds) lack proper perspective,of knowledge and understanding of honest people helping people.it is as if by exalting a fellow human creature they are lifting themselves up also.. now here is an example from the world.. this is from a wordly newspaper.yes i know the wts says these are half truths.i will not quote the whole article.

My brother dropped his wallet at the mall and when he got home he got a phone call, someone had found it and called. He bought the guy dinner for his good deed.

i was 14....and that seems pretty common for those that were in it young....... .
how in the world is a 14 year old ready to commit themselves to anything life altering?.
I was baptized at 7 years old. Later when I was in my early twenties I got dumped again at an assembly, didn't think the first one was proper, since I was so young. Funny how well I can remember the first one though, my dad did it in a creek along with several others.

I can sit in a chair and it is OK but if I walk it hurts bad. Just something else to add to the trouble going on right now. All the family has a bad cold virus, so far I've been spared but I guess that will be next.
