after finding out the "truth" about the lie, including all the wasted time, all the pain and the hurt, all of the disfunction that you are left to deal with...when do you forgive?
maybe you were hurt out of ignorance and maybe they do know that it's all bs, but when do you 4give and pray for them?
I really don't have any anger or hard feelings about all the crap I believed. It was just part of my life and I have a lot of good memories with my family while there. After we are dead it won't matter anyway so I just keep doing whatever I feel like doing as long as it doesn't hurt someone else. I wasn't shunned or anything like that so it didn't affect me as it has many others.

so many of my acquaintances in this life are dying and it won't be long before i will be gone.
there is nothing we can do to stop it.
I feel a little better today. My lawn mower had broken a wheel off and I had been thinking about fixing it. Every time I started, I quit before I did anything. Today I decided to do it. I found a piece of metal and sawed it into shape, drilled a few holes in the frame and bolted it in place and got it going and mowed my daughters yard, it was hot but I did it anyway. More like my old self.

I've got to find something that I can get interested in. I have in the past enjoyed building R/C airplanes but lately I can't make myself finish one that I started a few months ago. I don't know what has happened to me lately. Nothing catches my interest. My wife is about the same way. We celebrated our 33 aniversary last week and was going out of town but didn't go. Money is tight lately and everything we enjoy doing cost too much lately. I hope I get over this mood. I get melancholy when I drive by the old places my family lived and I remember the old times. Maybe it will get better.

I'm getting depressed lately realizing my life is fast comming to an end. So many of my acquaintances in this life are dying and it won't be long before I will be gone. There is nothing we can do to stop it. I'm feeling my age now and I don't like it. It's just happened in the last year, I can't do the things I did a few years ago, like crawling under the house and fixing the plumbing, climbing trees, working on cars, lifting apliances and stuff like this. I'm still in good shape for a man in his seventies but I want to be like I was when I was 50. It's hard to accept life as it comes your way. All you young folks, enjoy it while you can, it goes too fast.

we weren't home but they left a little bag of stuff.
i went to church with my wife last night and they were trying to start a house calling work.
One of the board members said to the pastor that he looked around on the Sunday night meeting and there were only about 12 or so in attendance and were all in their 70s. In a few years the church would die if some new members didn't show up. So the idea of going out and finding new members was brought up.

for people who left, not only the organization, but also the canaanite/judaic/christian/islamic/bahai god, do you still pray?
before we left the group we (my wife and i) were questioning the bible and the existence of god.
being witnesses, we were uneducated and never heard of things like pascal's wager, but we (my wife especially) had come to a similar idea - even if the whole thing were ballocks, there was little harm in continuing.
Sometimes in my mind I will think of a God and say,"If you are really out there somewhere I do really appreciate being alive and wish to thank you for life but don't really understand all the bad that happens on earth, especially the natural disasters. I hope I don't make you made at me for not understanding you, I'm willing to listen any time you wish to speak to me."

Do JWs still have a territory servant who keeps up with the maps and how often they are called on? I did that once. I used to know all the rural roads in our county and sometimes when I go driving out in the country I remember calling on the different homes and some of the bible studies we had there. It brings back some good memories of being with my family when I was young. I didn't like the preaching work but I did enjoy being with my family, who are almost all dead now.

I started to tell them to get a map and divide it into territories and to turn in a time slip on how much time they spent calling.
Some local churches have started going door to door these past couple of weeks as well.

i think it's very safe to say that i would not have been born if one or both of my parents were never jw's.
mom and dad met because they were witnesses.
if not for this cult, they wouldn't have met and i(their armagedden baby) would never have existed.
I don't know, but I was born exactly 9 months from the time my parents were at a convention in 1935.

imagine a sister/brother is preaching.
the household is a family of "baptists" to give an example.
they start giving the message and one of the members of the family likes what he/she hears.
