Marijuana and JWs

so where does the cult stand on marijuana.

my wife just visited her parents who are jws and her dad who knows nothing about it said it was a gateway drug.

he may have heard it on the news but i doubt it.

If one has cancer they will have more insight as to whether marijuanna can help or not. Here is info from Label Licker who is living with Intrehepatic Cholangiocarcinoma. apparently, some people never bother to read the posting guidelines.

there are lots of helpful things in there about what to post and what not to post which explain why posts may occasionally be removed and how to complain if you think we've made a wrong decision.. the typical reasons are they they are either harassing someone over a difference of opinion (play the ball, not the person) or are simply off topic.

a rose may be beautiful but if it's in a wheat field, it's still a weed.

(before you read anything i was born into this religion and am just counting down the days until i can leave) so i made one other post before because i signed up thinking that this was just a one time venting thing for me and everyone that replied on my last post was super helpful and i thank you if you’re reading this one but shit.

i’ve never released this much emotion especially to strangers, not even with my own parents and with you guys i feel like i can say anything about how i feel and it’s all good because you all feel the same as i do.

but anyway i just got into some shit with my mom and step dad.

Get your mom to watch Lethal Weapon. Damon Wayans who plays officer Murta is a jw and that show is all get out violent. But I'm sure she will say it was his after school sports that led him to this life.

Anti vaccines

i personally feel that vaccinations are beneficial.

there has been a modern movement that vaccinations are more harmful than beneficial to which i disagree.

what is your stance as an ex jw on vaccinating your children?

As a child I ended up with red measles, german measles, chicken pox, mumps, whooping cough and roseola. Parents were dead against getting vaccines. Next time I'm at the docs I will ask if I can get these again or can adults still get the vaccines as to what they got as kids. Just curious. Our neighbor had gotten his flu shot and they didn't know what had caused his paralysis from head to toe. It was so bad they had to tape his eyes shut at night so they wouldn't dry out. In the end he ended up with Guillain-Barre syndrome. It wasn't until months and months later they connected his guillian-barre syndrome with the flu shot. He's highly allergic to the flu shot as he found out. Today he is back to normal but for sure you can get Guillain-Barre syndrome from it. The specialists told him he was very lucky that it started in his feet first and spread upwards. If the syndrome starts in the head and works down it could have killed him. He had also gotten an out of court pay settlement from the drug company

Yes, I was once a joho who was told we were the only ones that had the truth, the only ones that would make it out alive, the only ones that god chose as his organization here on earth, the only ones that would inherit his paradise on earth, the only ones that the 144,000 would come from and so on. So I guess that would make us saved, right??

But unlike most religions we didn't have to be treated like shit and threatened in order to be saved!!!
