....Tahitians. I mean, what have they ever done for civilization?
make a damn fine red soda called Tahitian Treat. Oh yeah, and then there's those bobbin' boobies. The other Tahitian Treat(s).
yes i know there must be all sorts of powerful emotions bubbling below the surface on this question.
don't be shy!.
personally, as an honourary somali, i think something needs to be done about those damned tahitians.

yesterday in kansas city, we experienced the largest outbreak of tornadoes in over 20 years.
i am concerned about other members of this forum in the kansas and missouri areas.
did the twisters cause you any damage or heartache?
Glad you are all ok and made it through with little or no damage! I was on here and read Sheila's post so that was how I heard about the storms...ran straight to the TV to get the latest. Being down here on the southern end of tornado alley I know how you have to keep watch this time of year. Stay well everyone!!!
ok, a little humor is in order now. :) when I first saw Sheila's thread title I thought, "space shuttle insulation? this long after?" hehe
.
if all goes like you plan, where and what do you expect to be doing in 10 years from now?.
what do you expect to accomplish here to then?.
I remember this question from high school (yeah, the one day I actually attended). I had no answer then and things haven't changed much at all. Still in the same city, still alone, still....ah, but no so broke :)
Whatever I scribbled on the page surely it wasn't about being in "a new paradise earth" or somesuch. eeeeegads. I wonder how many may have answered with that very response.
sooner or later it happens to all of us.the time comes for us to draw our last breath and pass from this life into the next.over the years history has recorded some fascinating "famous last words"...here are a few.. "i've never felt better".douglas fairbanks,sr.,actor.. "iam about to----or i am going to-----die;either expression is correct".dominique bouhours, french grammarian.. "don't let it end like this.tell them i said something.
"pancho villa, mexican revolutionary.. "all my possessions for a moment of time!
"elizabeth 1,queen of england.. "everybody has got to die,but i have always believed an exception would be made in my case.now what?
Of course it's all in the timing but ... "live each moment as if it were your la--aa-a..."
we just finished our anniversary dinner(it was wednesday but we waited till week end...) and i have to say--i outdid myself this year!.
now last year we had our church wedding for our 5th anniversary and we had cajun fried turkey and jambalaya and a wonderful catawba/peach manischevitz wine punch(with gingerale) with peaches and melon floating in the bowl....(very pretty coral colored punch).
we had a red-velvet/almond flavored wedding cake and the groom's cake was deep chocolate with mocha icing... followed at midnight by a shot of henry mckenna or irish mist..... fantastic!
last meal eh? Hmmmm. It'd have to be 'all you can eat' and no time limit either.

so many silly superstitions exist and many people really believe in them.. for example, if you break a mirror, you will get 7 years of bad luck.
some people are afraid of friday 13th, or seeing a black cat, and so many more superstitions.. are you superstitious, and about what?.
I have to walk under ladders all the time. I have more trouble ON ladders than under them! Black cats are cool. I've broken mirrors. So much for superstitions. Oh wait, I'm miserable, lonely, depressed, ugleeee, no personality etc... maybe I should have been superstitious after all? I've brought it all upon myself I see. Oh well, live each day as if it were your la
i love my family.
but i've been stressed and depressed because of them.
and i just need to gain some understanding.. being raised in a jw family laid alot of pressure and guilt on me.
Of course NY is a filthy, disgusting place. That's why the WT chose it as it's world HQ. In ancient times I'm sure they would have located in the thriving metroplex of Sodom/Gomorrah.
I saw on the news last night that there has surfaced video of this same guy from a previous fire...carrying out a child. Sounds like an arsonist/hero thing going on to me. If you can't be in the right place at the right time you have to 'create' the scenario for you to become a hero. Who knows but it looks suspicious.
i wish there was film in my camera for one last photo of our cat, tiffany.
we got her almost 18 years ago, when our youngest was in kindergarten.
now he's married.
All I can do is echo the thoughts of the other posters so far. Sorry for your loss but I know you've got lots of happy memories of Tiff. :)
I'm kinda shocked at all the long lived cats I've been reading about on here. I thought that a cat's "generation" was only about 8 or 9 years. Maybe that's just how long they could stand living with us! My mother has a cat that is 19 years old as near as I can reckon. She's showing her age now but still just as "Nervy" as ever.
well, most of you know i have been on the job hunt again
yesterday, i went to meet up with dfwnonjw to get a video about word and excel.
on my way to meet with him, i noticed a "now hiring" sign in a window.
Jesika that is great news!!!
I know it's not your dream job but it's something until something better comes along. At least it's a reputable place unlike some sales/marketing scams many of us have fallen into before. So that's a good thing!
Congratulations!!! and keep us "posted"
Now I'm hungry, think I'll go to Boston Market tonight
