Chaserious, Jehovah's words have been twisted but they are there in the bible for all to read and judge for themselves. The point is he never copyrighted them. They are in the public domain for all to use and quote and share.
That still doesn't adress the issue. The bible is available to all, the Mosaic Law, the words of Jesus, the letters of Paul and the other apostles. All in the open. Why do the elder's book and letters to the BOE have to be kept secret?

I really believed "the Truth", even though I rationalized things in the beginning with the 'the organization is made-up of imperfect people' mantra. But I remember reading and reading, and then I left the JWFacts article on the WT being a cult for last, especially because I wanted to read it very carefully.
I still the remember the mixed emotions of relief, anger, frustration, etc. But, it took me a while too. Nevertheless, I remember it very clearly, when I got to the end of that article the evidence was overwhelming--I could not deny the truth anymore.
I've never looked back ever since.

so first, let me explain my mindset upon reading the new light regarding the fds.
as has been commented almost universally i knew right away that a lot of people probably thought it was always this way.
i found it shocking, but thats another issue.
You know, I'm sure this must have been pointed out by someone else in this site before, but by all accounts if the 'slave' was appointed in 1919 then Rutherford was the FDS for many years, since a GB didn't exist then and back then the president was the one who had the final word on what went into the publications.
To say that there was a GB in 1919 is just a blatant lie.

Yes, I agree. Like when the WT Legal Department shut down JWSurvey.org for 24 hours for 'breach of copyright' because Cedars had linked to the BOE secret letter on child abuse.

i have been hearing and reading on websites about some "new light" jws are saying concerning the faithful and discreet slave class.
it sounds like the same information they have been saying for years.
i was always taught the faithful and discreet slave class is the annoited governing body members dispensing food at the proper time for the non annoited jws.
Guys, guys, the FDS has always been the GB as of 1919. The only thing is that Jehovah forgot to tell them...

Yeah I thought the same Scotinsw, cultivating friendships with worldly people will only lead to spiritual detriment, the branch office should consider itself responsible for any witnesses realizing how loony the religion is when exposed to conditions which will make such a realization even more evident...
