Where are the EXJW Feminist Philosophers?
by Luther bertrand ini am working, more in the planning stages, where i am going to offer a commentary on the caleb and sophia cartoons that the org puts out.
i noticed a heavily patriarchal bent to the narrative that these cartoons offer.
i would really enjoy working with someone who has an academic background in feminist philosophy, or at least someone knowledgeable.

I lost my respect for a number of so-called feminists who daily wrote Guardian articles on matters such as how Professor Tim Hunt's remarks were misogynistic and he should be pilloried and expelled from the human race, or how some poor Hollywood actresses were not paid the same as men, or how a disgusting lawyer perved on a barrister's LinkedIn photo and had the temerity to send her a message complimenting her on how stunning she looked, and then when a thousand so-called refugees attacked women in Cologne over the turn of the year, with some women being raped, and hundreds of similar incidents happened over Europe at the same period, in other words, an undeniably massive example of rape culture and a backward and misogynistic attitude towards women – as had been demonstrated in Tahrir Square during the protests in 2011 – then what was the response of those feminists? Absolute silence.
It took them eight days to come up with tripe such as this: 'Young German women thankfully enjoy historically unprecedented economic and sexual freedom, with their expensive smartphones and their right to celebrate New Year’s Eve however they want. The same isn’t always true of young male migrants exchanging life under repressive regimes, where they may at least have enjoyed superiority over women, for scraping by at the bottom of Europe’s social and economic food chain.'
So, no. The hypocritical feminism which quickly throws women under the bus when Islamists come along should not go unchallenged. -

If it's mentioned, there are one or two prolific members that I guess, feel the need to be rude and demeaning (showing their ignorance).
I find it telling that if one dares challenge an argument from a feminist, a trans person, a muslim, a university student, a so-called liberal these days, or worse – disagree with them on something – one can be accused of being brusque, not nice, racist, bigoted, and so on.
Whatever happened to open discussion, challenging any and all ideas, and defending one's position with evidence, and by the logic and solidity of one's arguments?

Wow. That's perfect.
Also, does Stephen Lett think that speaking in that exaggerated manner help foreign jws understand him better or is he just trolling at this point? -

Richard Dawkins once said that a former very successful editor of New Scientist magazine was once asked what their philosophy was, and his reply was that 'our philosophy at New Scientist is this: science is interesting and if you don't agree you can **** off.'

The god of the bible is the worst character to take morals from.
He supports slavery, genocide, rape, and child sacrifice.
So no, thank you.

An important question for active JW's
by Honesty inif you and a fellow jehovah's witness went to a house where the homeowner brought up a watchtower doctrine which you secretly disagree with, would you defend it or tell them what it is you really believe?.
either way you are at a loss.. defending something you disagree with is living a lie and telling a lie.
not defending it and telling the home owner what you really believe makes you an apostate by watchtower society standards.

I met an active JW recently. I believe after our meeting he was able to see that there is a life after the WT. I didn't get any answers from him when it came to some questions, such as, 'why do have to pay for mythical Adam and Eve's supposed sin ages before we were born'. All he could tell me about the new promotion of the GB to FDS is that 'there is no contradiction' and obfuscate a little. He admitted, he believes 60%, sometimes 70% of 'new light'. I'll continue here available and willing to talk, providing a contrast to the WT's methods.
