A JW got checked in my congo
by XPeterX inthe announcement was something like "[name] got checked".well if he ain't got df'ed then what does this mean?is it based on the bible?where does this policy come from?how is the rest of the congregation supposed to behave to that person in a situation like this?what happened in the background anyway?is he checked for a period of time or what?any restrictions?.

Dunkin Donuts........... is anything made there anymore????
by DaCheech inmy kids were good yesterday, so i promised them that i would get them dunking donuts in the morning on the way to dropping them off to school...... on the highway, there is a gas station convenience store with a corner dunkin donuts.............. they usually have everything there.. well my kids could not have their donuts, or muffins, or croissants............... they were not delivered i guess.. so, i left.. i went to another dunkin donuts 3 miles away............. and the same problem.. the other dunkin donuts was a dedicated dunkin only place!!!.
there's no baking in the place anymore!!!!.
what are we coming to!.

hmmm.. I was always told DD donuts were baked. Okay they're fried, but they're fried different somehow. I'm not an expert on their operations (obviously ) but I can tell the difference in eating them. DD is more cake like than KK. A hot KK glazed melt in your mouth, no chewing required hardly. Maybe it's just the composite of the 'bread' or whatever.

Should Jehovah's Witnesses be added to the Wikipedia article on Doomsday Cults?

Dunkin Donuts are baked, Krispy Kreme fried. And if you're from the South, the KK is dounut of choice (except for local shops that make similar styles)
I can tell people who weren't raised on KKs... they actually call the donut Krispy Kremes. Their trademark donut is the 'glazed'. If you go into a store and order, you say, "Gimme a dozen glazed and a dozen mixed" (mixed being the chocolate covered, creme filled, sprinkled whatever).
The glazed are really only good when they're hot. That's why they have a sign that lights up when they're coming off the conveyor that says, "Hot Doughnuts Now". The other styles are okay cold I guess. I never eat those.

I never know if I'm going until the week of. It depends on the family. Some years, I've not attended, some years, discretion is the better part of valor and I attend to keep peace.
I'd prefer to never step foot in a hall again (except for weddings/funerals of people I knew/liked) but it's one meeting, one hour, once a year. Ain't that big of a deal. I can handle it.

according to the letter the missionarys/order of full time servants desperately need to get to the conventions in their homeland.
so to accomplish this, jehovah needs 15 cents per publisher, per congregation for some months ( sorry i can't remember the exact length of time ).
