You know, i think the key is personal resposibility. These are my actions and thoughts and good or bad i choose where my life goes. I think we need to look at it like this. And yes Julia, posative thinking and actions will go a long way in helping to determine our lot in life. As far as the zeal for the ministry goes, i have always hated the ministry. I have aux. pioneered many times all the while saying it was great, but i really did hate it. So someone looking in would say i had the spirit, if they only knew.

Ah yes, the prayers of the faithful one. How we look at these and feel our hearts swell with love for our God. Many of us at one time or another have asked for things such as these. How did we feel when God answered our earnest prayers? I know for one prayer, that was answered for me, i felt that finally God and his spirit noticed me. Well to my dissapointment, "Satan must have got in there and messed things up". Yes that wiley guy screwed me after only a few months of my answered prayer. To be honest i wonder now if it was an answer or just plain life in motion, or unforseen occurance.
I had a conversation with a long time pioneer who studys deeper than most. She had a bible study who said that she prays for help to quit smoking. Well this sister and I had a great 45 min discussion on how absurd such notions are. I mentioned to her why would God help a person quit smoking when there is widespread famine. Surly God would save some poor kid whose body is literally eating itself rather than some ragged ass whiner who smokes. Where is the heavenly consistancy?
Talkin with the elders a while ago, i told them that i dont feel the holy spirit helps us today. When i gave examples such as the ones above, they had nothing to say. Come on! I want to believe, but if i can see flaws in the logic then something is wrong. I am inclined to think either God helps noone or only his true followers (not an identifiable religious group)
Note what the holy spirit does for us in our day:
If you read the Bible and apply what you learn, God’s spirit can help you to grow in wisdom, knowledge, insight, judgment, and thinking ability. King Solomon received “wisdom and understanding in very great measure and a broadness of heart” because he sought to please God rather than men. (1 Kings 4:29) Since Jehovah gave holy spirit to Solomon, surely he will not withhold his holy spirit from those seeking to please him today.
Ok sounds good, because he gave it to solomon he will give it to us! There has to be some evidence of this. And here it is;
As a group, Jehovah’s Witnesses are well-known for their preaching activities. Under every imaginable condition, including risking their lives in war-torn areas, they courageously raise their voices in support of God’s Kingdom. Their zeal for the Christian ministry gives powerful evidence that holy spirit is in operation today. And it is obvious that Jehovah God is blessing their efforts.
Thoughts please.

Most Irritating Thing About The Jw's
by integ infor me it is the smugness.
it's their inability and refusal to admit they are wrong....ever...even in the face of irrefutable evidence.
isn't pride a sin?

The thing i used to do was when we got back in the car from a call, we gloated about how lost people are and how gald we are to be the only enlightened ones.
P.S i am sorry to all who i made feel like nothing!

Welcome to the Masquerade Hall
by msconcerned init has been an interesting ride these last few months, and sometimes i have failed to put into words my feelings as of late.
but tonight i have something that will help explain the feeling i get whenever i walk in to the masquerade(kingdom) hall.
masquerade balls were sometimes set as a game among the guests.

But tonight i have something that will help explain the feeling i get whenever i walk in to the Masquerade(Kingdom) Hall. Masquerade balls were sometimes set as a game among the guests. The masked guests were supposedly dressed so as to be unidentifiable. This would create a type of game to see if a guest could determine each other's identities.
Truer words have not been spoken! It takes emense mental strength to read peoples faces and body language to see what they are really saying. Why do we do this? What kind of B.S do they expect us to swallow when they tell us we are the "true" servants of God because why.....oh yes we have such intense love for one another. In the famous words of one pharisaic elder, "no matter what happens not one of us in our congregation wouldnt give our lives for another" Oh and yet this elders family consistantly makes fun of anyone who is not thin, up to date with fashion, has plans to move where the "great are needed"
Almost everyone wears a mask, so I guess we could also call it "The Lie" Hey brother pharasee is your family back home still in "the lie"? Hi sister brandnewboobimplants how are you? Awsome! How could i not be when we have "the lie" Fake fake frickin fake. I am so tired of the BULL SHIT i have taken off my mask and from now on if you like me for me good, if not i will waste no time trying to please your toxic blend of self righteous, my study habits are so much better than yours, im always right because im so smart attitude.
There is no holy spirit helping us today, this is one of the last things i said to the elders the other day. They tried to refute it and i nailed them with examples. All they could do was backpedal and partially agree with me......see what i mean, MASKS!

The things said tonight made me distort my face so much the brother saw me during the highlights and obviously wantedto say something to me from the stage. so he asks to turn to a scripture at the very end of the highlights reads it and stares at me while he explains it. how sad half the reason i drink is going to meetings. it bugs me to no end, does anyone else feel like this.

I must say, it's not just the hours spent at meetings and FS, remember the time spent winding down after the meetings when you talk about who did or said somthing unkind. Also the stress of seeing others getting away with things that you cant. Add 25% to that number....oye.
