  hello all, it is nice to have a forum for former jw's and see i wasn't the only one out there having serious doubts.

  my parents got into it when i was about 4 years old.

  my family was part of the granville ny congregation.. my dad in time became an elder.

  My question too Phizzy. Also wondered about the increases. Do they exceed population growth? And do they take out the numbers that were DFd or leave them in since they were in for part of the year?

  i want to talk about my story because i need help and advice and most impirtant a lot of comfort.. one year and a half ago i met a wonderful guy.

  he was really nice and supporyed me during hard moments.

  i slowly fell in love with him.

  Things will get better I promise. Don't give up on believing that. Also, I don't how to tell you this in a way you will believe, but the reason we are here is that the JW religion destroys. If you were with him you would lose your family and friends. Stay away please.

  I don't want to lie. I was brutally honest for several reasons. First, I told my JW family beforehand I would be honest and ask for help with my doubts. I was given none and instead told I should fake it to avoid losing everything. That was a threat.

  Second, if I lose my family I will live life to the full with no fear of spies and no fear of being caught one day.

  Third, my mental health required personal honesty and to know I had tried to see if the elders had some magic bullet or wise advice.

  When end this is all over in a few weeks I estimate, I will be able to tell my family my story. An honest story. I hope they see the honesty in it. Or if the letter works then great. But I don't have my hopes up. Just trying. These guys have royally botched this. Royally. Full story will explain. I'm not free to do that now unfortunately.

  Well Band after sitting in on the first part of the judicial meeting they had with me, it is very evident I will be DF. It's a foregone conclusion. This letter can't hurt me in any way. I will be DFd without it. If there is a fraction of a chance the letter stops the proceedings and puts them in abeyance then I'll take the tiny chance. It's all I've got.

  I have lost already, as I was brutally honest in the meeting for some reasons I can't discuss Yet. Their easy and only decision is to DF me. But, they asked to meet another time a week later. It gave me time to think and I decided to try this. We will see. It is a very long shot and likely to fail as you say. But, I always try. I don't give up easy. We will see.

  I think I Have ADD. My brain never turns off. Wondering what would have happened as I missed out on siblings weddings and family gatherings would have messed me up. So, I needed to try.

  Im looking forward to telling this story when it is over. You won't believe some of the things that have happened. You really won't. One small tidbit, I was advised by the three elders to "fake it, it's what I would do. I think your crazy that you don't just fake it". I was then read a scripture to back that up. The scripture said we are blessed when do something out of love or compulsion. It was likened to when a vast mixed company left Egypt with the Israelites. Faking it could still get me a reward...

  I see your points, but I have some money to have this drafted by a lawyer I have hired. Arriving registered mail from a lawyer who is rewriting the letter may do something. It may not. But, I'd rather know I tried and did everything I could before I lose my family.

  I added to the letter my personal details and removed some of the points that were not appropriate. Seeing a law firm has sent this letter to each of them will mean an automatic call head quarters. It is my hope that they then put the matter in my file and give a marking talk or similar.

  I don't have high hopes, but ten years from now it would be too late to try. So I'm trying. More to come on this story when I have it.

  "Jehovah ALWAYS had/used an organization". How would you reply?

  in a recent meeting with elders, an argument was used to the effect that jehovah has always [= throughout history] used, or operated through, an organization; therefore, the wts must be that organization today, since god must be using one.

  naturally, i know what arguments i've used to counter that argument.

  but i'm interested in hearing yours.

  Go to youtube and search Fred Franz Gilead Talk. In it the President of the Watchtower spends about thirty minutes proving there was no first century governing body.

  I used to have a webpage saved and I have lost it. A young man and his wife had faded. They had a Birthday Party for their child and were called before a judicial committee. He wrote a letter with legal stipulations listed of how he would proceed.

  I have lost it... I have searched and searched for it. Does anyone else have it saved. I have a lawyer and he wants to see it.

  Indepth and full explanation coming when I am free to relate this. Maybe a week or two.
