  Any seniors looking for association?

  life is tough when you've spent your best years in the borg...how do you reconnect when kids are grown and you're close to retirement age?.

  No way I am going back. It was lonely there being a single mom, didn't "fit in" for dinners with families and all that. Even though three in my family pioneered, we were not invited to many of the get-togethers over the years.

  I can handle being alone, but it would be lovely to have social companionship. I love people and it would be great to have someone to hang out with, at the very least.

  Just got a call from an elder

  so i faded over a year ago...i told the elders that if i needed them i would call them.

  1 year and 3 months later, today, i get a call from an elder who used to be my good friend...he calls and i dont pick up..he leaves a voicemail, saying "hello ____, please call me back at 444-444-4444 whenever you can".

  i was like wow, this has to be one of those calls to get inactive ones back to the memorial.

  Thanks DD, I didn't answer and never plan to. I have a close family member in their cong and have no doubt she lets them know my weekend schedule, which she asks me about... It was still CREEPY! Having a man peering in your window is not cool. Appreciate your support.

  What was the most rebellious thing you did while you were a devout jw?

  i was just thinking about how humans being imperfect and satan's influence was the root of everything bad that anyone has ever done.

  well i know that apparently everyone is vulnerable which got me thinking about what "bad" things people have done while they were a jw.

  why can't jws just be normal?!?

  a local eldub and his family want to invite us over for family worship!!

  We had a eldub relative known for his private WT gatherings...he was told to stop by the eldub body as he was giving private interpretation to the bible.

  Then again, one of his children told me that's also where all the teens made plans to hook up...

  Just had some very loud knocking on my front door and saw someone peering in the glass...creepy!

  Not dressed for visitors so quickly left the room. They waited several minutes, knocked loudly (almost 10 times, how rude!) and stood outside for several more minutes before leaving.

  No invitation in door so perhaps elders from old cong....wondered when this would happen. All advice welcome!
