Oh, Vidiot, I doubt you are ugly. Although I think our avatars would both rate very high on the unattractive scale....

Lies taught by the GB about ....Life, Worldy people & apostates
by williamhconley inthe governing body not only lies to it's members about their true history but also about life itself, worldly people and former members.. here are some of those lies that come to my mind.. .
"jw's are the happiest people on earth" -.
fact: depression, anxiety, fear of punishment, paranoia, is what jw's live with every day.

Anybody have experience selling on Ebay or Amazon?
by EndofMysteries inthere are a few collectibles i am wanting to sell.
my concern is that if i accept payment w/ credit card, etc, that i ship the item and they either open it (destroying the value), or just lie about not getting it, or any other thing to cause ebay/amazon to chargeback.
i was wondering if anybody sells on them is there a protection for sellers and how often does that type of thing happen?

Hi, EOM --
I've sold for years on eBay and for about a year on Amazon. eBay protects you when you use their PayPal service, just be certain to insure collectibles and keep receipts. It's really easy now as you can purchase your postage through eBay/PayPal and they can check the tracking if needed.
And with collectibles...bubble wrap is your best friend, be sure to use as many of the 12 free pictures if you can, and describe every flaw on every piece you list. People love that you're honest. I sold Murano glassware from the 50s and 60s for quite awhile and never had anything arrive damaged or broken, even delicate pieces. Usually collectors are just thrilled to get the piece and don't try to con you.
Amazon doesn't have a very friendly dispute process, in my opinion. But on some things, you can get better prices there so it can be worth it.

Dog, maybe you can go with the goal of remembering your impressions to share with everyone on this site. It might put a different spin on it for you and you will have the opportunity of looking at everything in a more logical manner. Your comments here will be great interest, I'm sure!

So many years of mother's day cards I've missed...and it's my own fault for dragging my children into the borg. It makes me tear up now.

I have made my decision
by Brother Mike ini'm sure most of you have read bits and pieces of my story throughout the last year being on this site.
i've decided as a human being, and as an adult, i'm going to make the decision on whether to stay with the jw religion or leave it.
i of course have many doubts about the organization which has lead me to do research.

Congratulations, Mike! Although you will go through some difficult days, you will not be disappointed when you become free to live as you are intended. When Jesus said the Truth will set you free, he meant TTATT. HUGS!

In some congs, you are allowed to continually pioneer even if you never meet your hourly requirement...the label is all-important. Especially if you're that person who is always willing to go in service when no one else does, and you'll drive all over two counties picking up studies for meetings and then taking them home. Of course you get to count all your time with them, even when shopping for groceries, and count all the senseless hours you spend riding around "in service" doing your errands. If you are in a foreign language cong it's almost a joke, because your time is not spent "preaching" but is spent asking others if they happen to know anyone who speaks that language. No wonder the foreign language congs are growing, they are known as places to "hide out" for those escaping the drudgery of their home cong.
