  just wanted to introduce myself

  i've been a lurker for quite some time and enjoy the forum.

  i've reached a point in life where i don't argue ideologies anymore so i don't have much to say.

  i've been out for decades and believe i've been mostly de-cultabilized (if that's even a word).. my family is still in and i haven't had contact with them in years.

  MissFit, great points.

  I, too, originally had a difficult time navigating through many of the posts as they appeared to be offensive...but it was only because I was still just baby steps out of the bOrg. While I don't always agree with the terms, I now find that I have a difficult time actually using jw-speak as it somehow gives it power.

  to three people in my family, disfellowshipping / shunning is just a tool the wtbs uses to hide what really happened.... they don't want people to 'see behind the curtain.'.

  HappyDad, if we had only two meet for "service" and they were male and female, they would drive separately to the same return visit. Nothing weird about that, huh? Cause you know, the only thing on everyone's mind all the time is finding a place to do the "nasty". Really makes you wonder what the gb are thinking about all day... ewwww...

  i will have plenty of "snark" to post later on, but please indulge me while i get this out of my system..... suppose you are the leaders...yes, the leaders...there are only 7 of you...for the one true religion in all the universe.. jehovah the god of the whole universe speaks to you, you alone, out of 7 billion+ people on teh planet.. you have an opportunity, thanks to the advancements in technology, to speak to 750,000 of your followers "live", and another 750,000 or so within 24 hours.. 1.5 million people!

  hanging on your every word!.

  this is the first time in history you can simultaneously, or nearly simultaneously, address so many of your adherents.. what message are you going to present for this special occasion?.

  You are absolutely correct. I must say, I wish the gb wackadoodles were this vocal back when I began studying....it's a shame it's taken so long for them to blatantly Come Out of the Weirdness Closet. If that's the closet they are coming out of....I mean, tight pants notwithstanding...um, spanxx for the memories...darn, where are my pink socks...

  Trashed WT's found in Dr.s' waiting room Friday. Do you trash literature you find?

  took the magazines in the waiting room and dumped them in the trash.

  was a great feeling.

  to think many witnoids wont dare throw out the surplus magazines they have in stacks around the house is amazing.
