Shall I go to the meeting? Would you?

hi guys,.

i might go to the meeting.

i stopped going in my heart properly in nov 2013, but i went to a couple of meetings to support a love one that was df'd and tried to teach them a little ttatt.. now another df'd loved one is coming to see me today and will likely encourage me to try and get ri'd, and i want to support her.

You worked so hard to stand on your own after leaving that it makes me sad to hear that you're thinking of going back, even for one meeting.

If you go with a DF'd friend, it seems that you are supporting and promoting the borg as the right place to be.

Please ask yourself why you are really thinking of going because it sounds like the friend is an excuse. Ask yourself what positive outcome there might be? I see nothing but negative reactions from your daughter and son, and your mean-spirited ex, and as someone pointed out you'll be used as an example of how miserable ones are that leave--they can't be happy and have to return.

Not something to be done on a lark, methinks.

I knew they were rotten at the core but never realized how gangrenous the jwborg is at heart. Just an amazing job of research, OrphanCrow. I'm going to have to revisit this post several times to stomach it all.

I really, really think you need to find someone to publish this in the Real World (if there is such a thing). I am totally aware that jdubs won't read it BUT those inclined to feel compassion for or "study" with the dubs might step back into reality once they realize the scope of their lies and coverups.

At the very least, if your writings save ONE person from joining the cult - it would be worth it.

i hear a number of disfellowshiped are quickly reinstated in acertain circuit in japan.one disfellowshipped person who are obviously in worldly.

clothings, attended a meeting.whole congregation thought that person was not yet sincerely repented,but, announcement was made that the person was reinstated.branch office and circuit overseers are eager to bringdisfellowshiped back to the organization.local elders are not very pleased about it..

I know of two openly adulterous and slanderous ones who were reinstated in eight months or less.

I think the only requirement is that the person is not actively proselytizing against the borg.

that's wat i heard the other day.

now you pay fines for your sins.. adultery is a 450 euro's ( for a firsttimer).

smoking is a 300 -500 euro's sin ( depents on what the blow was).

What started me on the path to waking up about the lies the WT teaches?

it was a simple question: isn't jesus my "mediator" if i put faith in him like the scriptures say?

the research to that answer, from the w79 4/1 p. 31, was mind blowing.

how dare they deny me a belief firmly stated in the scriptures?

Lots of teachings didn't make sense, but topped with the continuing push to revere the elders it was all just too much.

The biggest and most personal was the continuing child abuse coverups. We thought it was only our local elders that were uncaring and unbalanced in this, but to know that it was widespread and condoned by the GB made it absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for this to be god's org.
