  hi brummie.

  yer me and johnathonseagul will have to come over to my old home town of birmingham and meet up with you and whoever you know over there for a few lagers.

  just a point to mention from a baby to the age of 3 i attend, what is now the notorious, rubry cong.

  Pleasure I moved from Birmingham a couple of years ago, now live in Somerset! Drat would have been great to get together with you guys again.

  When Panorama was doing the research we put them onto the Rubery case, tried seeking out a family that was supposed to have petitioned outside that KH (causing a scene), did you ever hear about that petition and could you shed anymore light on it? I didnt know for sure if that petition was made up or acctually happened?

  What wasnt mentioned in Panorama (I think) was that the abuser now attends a Derby KH and is active. Panorama went seeking him out by attending some of the derby KH's but never did cross paths with him.

  Another thing, do you know the guy who was the victim? Trying to contact him.

  597 bce or 607 bce !

  not my usual post - but can any of you reference any material for me that highlights 597 bce a relevant date, rather than 607 bce.. an old friend phoned this morning (who is a jw still) and wanted to know about alternate chronology, aside from what the wts teach.. any info' appreciated !.

  Congregation get-togethers

  did your hall ever organize times for the congregation to do activities?.

  about every 6-9 months, mine would have a congregation picnic.

  people would bring food, and we would play a softball game.

  Get together consisted of "Bowling" .."Ice skating" and around to someones house to play "spoons" or some made up games!

  We also had a rare board game we used to get together and play, cant rememver the name of it but it was a JW board game where you went round the board landing on squares that said "Hit by a car, go to paradise", or "Survive armageddon go to 1000 years" or "Survive final test, go past the square saying "1000 years" Become one of the remnant, go to square saying "heavenly kingdom"...etc

  Back in / out of the hospital

  a week ago thursday, i realized i was developing an upper respatory problem, likely bhronchitis, or maybe pneumoina.

  i have suffered with this and asthma all my life since i was 2 years old.

  however, after my heart attack in may, i dreaded this happening, as the reduced oxygen can mess up an already weak heart.

  have you ever been told that you do not qualify for a privilege because you lack," freeness of speech".this lack of "freeness of speech" may be the result of something you did or did not do.

  also some member of your family could of done something or failed to do something and so the elders decided that you do not have" freeness of speech" because of it.

  and so you did not qualify for a privilege.

  Most JWs would stick that label on anyone who didnt answer up at meetings or anyone who didnt stand up verbally for the "truth". As if somehow JWs have got freedom of speach in anything!

  je sent your tapes off.

  but after listening to the first one ( joan & introductions) the music is fine- but joan is so quite it is hard to hear her-but if you fast forward it-to the into's( the japeneze group) it get fine again.i didnt want you to think that the whole tape was like joans part.

  also on my last tape ( closing comment) it is blank.i have sent off to blue mountain for a copy of the original.that is the tape the jws were on????

  I still care muchly for this fellow( shame!!on an old brod)!!!!

  I do believe he cares for you too you old brod..haha Your NOT old mouthy, (strokes under chin and behind ears again prrrr).

  He did tell me one time he had been mentally sexuall,physacly abused before he was adopted at 6 yrs old
