Annoited: Not all their family examples so goo...

while i have nothing against the ones that i knew of that were annoited, i found their family examples a little troubling.

i'm sure die hard jw's will respond that this is because satan is tormenting them, much as he did to job.

:( while that might be true, i also found that most ran their families like nazi's, and much of their problems were their own fault!!

for years i have seen this guy on tv i recall going out to la for a dc and his church was located in the territory of the bethelites family i stayed with and we laughed at how he was getting over on folks, just taking their money.

and now i learn that he got his early training from the jehovahs witnesses.

Well thats a belief system I personally do not embrace neither does my belief system include that sort of conclusion.

Fred Price is as destructive as most other cults, when you have picked up the pieces of someones life that has been hurt by his "belief system" then you may realise that calling it "hogwash" is not dishing out something as offensive as what he dishes out. Then again, I guess 2 wrongs dont make a right so I'll retract the hogwash word for the sake of keeping the peace.

One mans hogwash can also be another mans killer. Fred Price discourages medication and views disabled people as being weak in faith, this causes people pain.

You all deserved a lot better than he got from the WT, naturally your dads character reflected that of his "Mother" the WTS, it breeds dysfunctional families. Sorry you all had to be victims of it.

Realist, I know you address the Qs to wing but I was led into the Org by a female anointed, I also knew more female anointed than males.

She declared herself anointed after having an experience that she said "Wouldnt allow herself to sit down, she had to stand up and pace the floor"....thats unusual I guess as most of them just have a mental feeling of not belonging to the earthly class, they quote Romans 8, their spirit cries out "Abba father", (more like abba "mother") however if they decided to disagree with the WT their spirit stops crying it...lol

i just got off the phone talking with my baby sister,she had a bad day.she and a sister (kh lady) was out pioneering when they came across a house with a lady who acted as if she was very excited about jw visiting her home, first she appeared to be interested in the message they were speaking,and then out of the blue,the lady started snapping pictures of them,her husband came out with a video camera and begans recording them and asking them questions like: what's your name?

where do you live?

are you married?

JW Bro-in law dies

sunday my brother-in-law, loyd gardiner, died.

he was an elder in the richmond, indiana congregation for about 50 years.. my son and i are having real problems deciding what to do.

we had decided not to go to the services because almost everyone there will be jws and we do not see the need to expose ourselves to the rude treatment by them.. i got a phone message last night from someone, not baptized jw, who thought we should go to the viewing today, to show "our respects".

Do whatever feels right for you and what ever brings peace, whether that be by attending or not.

When my gran died I was forbidden to get into the funeral cars or go to the house after, I decided not to go to the funeral at first, the elders already sent word via my mom advising me not to go. However on the day of the funeral I had a surge of strength and marched into the kingdom hall, sat at the back, then went and got into the family funeral cars shoving my cousin up the seat so I could fit in, my JW family seemed to take it rather well (though not speaking) but the other none family JWs were horrified, worse still I went to the gathering after and mingled with the rightous, a quiet day but satisfying none the less. I went only to pay respect to my gran, if that offended them then it was their problem...not mine
