  I am new.

  ok everyone...i am new.. i don't know what to say....just hello.. i am a disfellowshipped jehovah's witness...which maybe one day i will get in detail about....but right now it's still too painful.. besides if i talk about it i feel like i am talking bad about people or hindering jehovah's spirit with others.

  i realy try to shy away from speaking badly of people...even if they hurt me.. what i believe in my heart is no one can truely hurt you if your standing with the creator is good in his eyes.they in reality hurt only themselves,because they hinder thier relationship with our maker.. i do not like to talk bad about any religious group realy because, i think what if jehovah some how aproved of them and then i am introuble!.

  i can't remember where the scripture is but it is about the apostles and the advice was to let them go....and if they were from god then you know....but if they weren't then it would end...thier preaching and basically god would take care of them.. i feel jesus could say the things he did of religious leaders because,well.....he is th son of god and these people claimed to represent his dad.

  ok have taken advice and started own thread - actually feel a wee bit nervous about this - but what the heck!

  you only live once right **grin**.. i am from sydney australia - was brought up as a jw and have been disfellowshipped once...when i was 21 yo currently 29. i only came back in because i am terrified of armageddon.....living in fear is not good for the mind!!.

  does anyone else understand this fear???

  I think everyone who posts here will understand your fear of armaggedon, your in good company. its a phobia installed on a regular basis during Watchtower studies. I'd recommed researching the JWS and mental health threads here, you will benifit from it.

  laudanum was an opiate that had been imported from overseas.

  maybe this is a bad idea but,i'm trying to get to know everyone a little better here.

  what's your good side and your dark side what makes you happy what makes you mad ,everyone has them.i did read a few profiles but i noticed almost no-one spoke about what makes them happy or sad.

  Seek Out Those with Nothing To Lose!

  to any active 'hovah that is planning to "fade away", or leave the 'hovah religion:.

  why not seek out other 'hovahs that are single, have "unbelieving" mates or others that became 'hovahs as adults that have no family members that are "in".

  seek them out and spill the beans before you leave, that is of course, if you have no family to lose.. just a thought.. tr

  when a witness talks about a person not being "in the truth", does that get to you?

  or if they self-righteously proclaim that "at least, they're in the truth and not worldly", does that push any buttons?

  It doesnt get up my nose to hear them say it, it took me ages to stop reffering to it as "The truth" even after I had left and believed it to be totally false. old habits die hard huh
