i do not have a lot of creative free-reign at my "stable" job-i have to cater to low modem speeds (i am talking about web deveolopment here) and that is fine, low resolution-fine, i can do all that.
my business i have, i have more creative free-reign because when i make a design, 90% of the time, the client loves it...they can say a couple words to me and i will make exactly what they want to see.
i charge $45/hour for my work and i have a lot of satisfied customers.
Most people understand the concept that a person won't be in business long if working for free.
If they want your work without giving their money - ask if they're willing to barter, as in - it's time to have your windows washed, whatever. If they're not willing to barter ---- then they're just cheap.
We run a store, and had to do the same. We've not lost any family over it. We have lost family over the jw shunning.......but then, that's God speaking.

today, october 6, in manchester tennessee the court considered the motion to dismiss petitioned by the watchtower bible and tract society in the case of anderson vs watchtower.
during the hearing for the first time ever the watchtower attorneys were stumped, at a loss for words, silence in the courtroom for what seemed like a 'millennium'.

Hopefully, Mr. Bell & legal team (and any other lawyers taking on the WTBTS Corporation/Religion) will get an intense education resulting in understanding of the WT mind.
The WTBTS corporate mind is much different than the local jw WT mind.
So, in essence, the lawyers must understand the Jehovah's Witness' religion locally, corporately, and the laws for religions and for corporations.

an "outsider" might not have a clue to what certain words might mean.
for example, "the truth"-----if a person heard that expression, they would never have connected it to only the jw religion.....can you think of language that is exclusive to "watchtower" world??

I was in a group of other sisters - and they were discussing the horror of demonized smurfs. They were *living proof* of this demonic plan.
One had been told by another (un-named) sister that her daughter had smurf curtains in her bedroom. The smurfs on the curtains literally jumped off the curtains and chased the little girl through the house!
Of course, I don't know where the smurf's went after that. Probably back to the curtains. I'm just assuming those jw's burned those demonized curtains.
The fools. They should have known better than buying smurf curtains at a garage sale.

"Independent Thinker" ..........ultimate oxymoron when compared to what *worldly people* would think it means.
If you tell a worldly person...."You're really an independent thinker, aren't you?" They would say "Why, yes I am. Thanks for noticing."
If you tell a JW the same thing.......they would say "I AM NOT!!!!!!!!" Knowing that you've just insulted them & their spirituality!
Btw - to be an independent thinking jw's means that you're *pushing ahead* of the organization, most likely having a *stiff neck* and to be viewed as *spiritually weak*, maybe even necessarily *privately marked*.
As one elder actually told me about Maximus (who used to post here) and Max was NOT df'd, "Why, we just assumed he was disfellowshipped. He was always an Independent Thinker. (Even though at different times, he was a Pioneer, Elder, CO, DO). Just too smart to stay One Of God's TRUE People."
