Prohibit disconfirming information

and non-supporting opinions in group communication. Rules exist about permissible topics to discuss with outsiders. Communication is highly controlled. An "in-group" language is usually constructed.

This is such a good point. Within minutes of talking with another jw - or trying to size up a person - a jw can tell a lot just by the words the person uses. Does he use outdated terms "back calls" instead of "return visits" etc? Shows he's not up to date "spiritually."

No jw I ever knew would talk about what really happens to a df'd/da'd person to outsiders....or the MANY reasons (and none sins) that a jw could be kicked out for.

During a WT study? It was a rare person who would not just repeat the sentence/paragraph for their answer. And no addional information was brought in.

lol - and I only wish (every time his life ins. bill comes to me) that my x of 23 yrs ago would die......and if pain were included......okie dokie. Perhaps much pain.

But there are several males previous to him that make me smile once in a while.

as card-carrying apostates we all need to be careful about our information.

even one mistake, whether intentional or not, gives dubs the chance to jump up and say, "see those apostates lied about that thing.

All that Farkel brought out does nothing to put "to rest any suggestion that CTR was gay." No, I've not read the other thread mentioned. Many gay persons have sexual encounters with the opposite sex.

It does help to set matters straight that CTR was not a child molester.

Worth repeating the clicks.........btw, there's a fabulous thread with Maximus in it where the WTBTS is quoting in print a doctor who states that blood is an ORGAN (Watch or Awake). Max's interpretation of that was that it was NO mistake on the WT's part......they want it in print so that if they're ever sued for encouraging people to die, they can point to those types of statements and say "See? We stated that blood is an ORGAN, and jw's have been accepting organ transplants for decades. We can't help it if local jw's are over zealous."

It's called "covering your ass if you get caught." Remember the 1975 end of world scenario?

Hawkaw and Maximus have absolutely brilliant information about the ancient history of blood transfusions......bringing it up to current day......and the WTBTS coverup. Well worth reading.

Awake oct 8, 1993:Some legal experts advise reporting the abuse to the authorities as soon as possible. In some lands the legal system may require this. But in other places the legal system may offer little hope of successful prosecution.

Did you notice what this is actually saying?

"Some legal experts advise reporting" - thus, "some don't." Nothing definitive is said.

"some lands the legal system may require this." - thus, in other lands, they don't. Nothing definitive is said.

"other places the legal system may offer little hope." - thus, what's the use....and nothing definitive is said.

That Awake is saying nothing that the ordinary person doesn't know. It's definitely NOT saying "Report child abuse to the police no matter where you live."
