Its abou SUBMISSION ladies and being a second class citizen.

Thats why you can't give talks, or pray in a congregation, or carry a microphone.

And why there will never be a woman on the Governing Body, even though the scripture

says clearly " there is neither Jew no Greek , nor male or female, but you are all one in the Christ"

Just completely ignored. = Bad religion. False doctrines. Two classes? = False Doctrine.

Faithful and Discreet Slave? = False Doctine. Governing Body? = False Doctrine.

Preventing any believer from partaking of the bread and wine? = False Doctrine.

Galations 3: 26-29 Gone is the distinction between Jew and Greek, slave and free man,

male and female—you are all one in Christ Jesus.

And if you belong to Christ, you are true descendants of Abraham,

you are true heirs of his promise.

apparently there are anointed members of god's earthy organization, or the jehova's christian witness church.

my understanding of this is that those select few appointed by holy spirit directed by he who is above will rule over the other sheep with the jesus in heaven.

The whole basis for the "faithful and discreet slave" being eight men

in New York City and trying to link this idea to a scripture falls apart

when you read the references, namely Matt25: 20,21,22

because if you read it TWO of the slaves given talents

were approved and called faithful slaves, two not one single slave.

So who is the other faithful slave mentioned ?

The indentifying mark for a true Christian is always referencing

"taking care of widows and orphans" and Matthew 25:35-40 where Jesus

says "I was hungry and you fed me, naked and you clothed me...."

identifying actions towards others as the way to identify a Christian.

There is no use arguing WT doctrine to figure it out, because it is all false

doctrine, anti-Christ teachings from the top to the bottom, from pyamids

at the start, with Russell to what you have today in those eight men,

its an organization that keeps people from Christ, that is its main function

tells them they are not worthy to drink the wine and eat the bread

in memory of him.

And then it demotes Christ to Angel status when the scriptures

say the angels worshipped him. That - is anti-Christ.

Smiddy - OK now I see your post. You are right, there are many here who

were born in, but never really believed it was the "truth" Us converts who were

really convinced and completely into it, lock stock and barrel, have a painful exit

and it only comes from really being honest and really trying see the facts and get

out of denial which is like going through a sort of internal death of the self. Then

enlightenment and freedom and hope and rediscovery of life begin.

Oldie speaking here. As Martin Luther King Jr. said; "Free at last, free at last.

Thank God Almighty, we are free at last."

Comment on what ? OK so just an anecdote, I was talking

to a jw recently about the whole "faithful and discreet slave" doctrine.

I read the passage about the slaves, Matthew 25:21,22 Look at it.

There were TWO faithful slaves,both approved and both put in charge of

the Masters belongings, the slave that was given five talents and also the

slave that was given two talents, were both called faithful and discreet slaves,

So who does the WT imagine is the other faithful slave ? And why is this

never mentioned ? Or ? It does not mean what the WT says it means ?

It can't mean only eight men are the faithful slave class, because how do

they account for the other faithful, approved slave ? Where is he or she ?

Remember that the first Christians were all Jews, and Jews had a system

like they also have today, in which they teach their children how to read.

Reading the law was part of going to a Synagogue . Each Synagogue had

its own scrolls available to all to read. Jewish children go to Torah school

and learn Hebrew. The two things that distinguished Jews in the ancient world

and in the Middle Ages was that unlike the majority of people, they

washed themselves on a regular basis, and their garments, and they could

read and write and understood mathematics. Jews were bankers, accountants,

merchants, and scholars. Remember Jesus saying in a parable, "Who of you

when building a tower, does not first calculate the expense ? " Jesus was

talking to ordinary Jews.

Head Covering is a "sign" of women being lesser than and in subjection to men.

That is the doctrine of the WT and the Catholic Church, and other religions, like Muslims.

One of the things that is overlooked is the ORIGINS of women being "in submission".
It was NOT the original order of things. It was a CURSE put on EVE, after she ate of the
tree of knowledge, "Because you did this, from now on, your husband will dominate you "

Adam was cursed as well as Eve. Things changed. The situation of Paradise reversed.
Think about it , if Eve was not in subjection before the curse, she was equal, possibly Adams leader.
Why didn't the serpent go to the one in charge ? Or may be the serpent did go to the one in charge.

Then things were reversed. This curse, is it permanent ?
Or does it end with thr Ransom Sacrifice ?

Then the Bible says when Jesus died "The curse was nailed to the cross. "
No more curse, Jesus redeemed us. So thats why there was such things as women Deacons
in the early Church and women took the lead so much it shocked the Gentiles and Paul had to
step in because of social conventions. Paul even admits, his rules were just the customs he knew,
when he says "If anyone else has any other custom." opens it for revision.

But really, doesn't the Bible say, "Let us, create them, in our image, male and female."
US ? OUR image ? Male and Female ? How was this point lost ?

Jesus even pointed out that in the resurrection "they would be neither male nor female, but as
the Angels in Heaven". Since the WT believes Jesus is an Angel, that means Jesus is neither male
nor female.

So thinking of God as Male and Jesus as Male is apparently all we weak minded humans
can grasp. Sex is used by religion to suppress and control, the head covering is supposed
to reduce women in status and be a symbol of "subjection".

Of course men in leadership try to sugar coat this as if women were assigned a "role".

And women support this doctrine because they believe, stupidly, it "protects" them.

Then along comes Jesus who says there is neither male nor female but you are all one in the Christ.

Of course being one in the Body of Christ would upset the entire WT system of heiarchy .

If Jesus considers his followers neither male nor female, then who is any man to deny this equality?

The removal of Yahweh's curse of submission.

Men do not own women anymore. Men have no more ability than women
in anything, including administration and spiritual leadership.

But still this idea of submission persists. But remember that was a "curse".

Remember the curse was nailed to the cross/stake.

Jesus Christ and Yahweh who are; by there own explanation, neither male nor female, and
also both male and female as they created us in their own image, Male and Female, that is what
it says in Genesis as we have all read. Yahweh and Jesus therefore must find it all so amusing.

Women going around believing they do not have full authority or rights, giving back their freedom,
these women are really denying the Christ by these head coverings.

China's Dying Villages and the Problem of Land Use

the chinese newspaper, the people's daily (english, web, edition) has images of a dying 800 year old village, that illustrates some trends and problems in modern china.

it is not typical of all the problems causing urbanisation in china, but does illustrate some.. the village is dacan ancient village, located in yuxian, in north china's shanxi province.

it is surrounded by mountains.

You overlook the CAUSE which is the FAILURE of the

Chinese ruling Communst Party to create basic functioning

infrastructure , starting in 1949, when they took power.

Mao Zedong and his idiotic Dictatorship ruined China and caused

over 30 million to starve to death in the 60's

because of his inept incompetance.

Their leaders did not even know how to build a suspension

bridge or a working sytem of highways across China. China is

about the same size as the USA and smaller than Canada.

So the excuse " China is too big" is absurd. A system of ROADS,

BRIDGES, TELEPHONE POLES, and the delivery of ELECTRICITY

was already in place in the USA and Europe by 1948. The mentality

in China was " Why build a road out there, those peasants are farmers "

No respect for their own people. By comparison ,RADIO was available

in the smallest villages in Canada and the USA by the 1920's and 1930's

REFGERATION and AUTOMOBILES were in use by the 1920's

because the government had built ROADS all over the US and Canada.

By the 1950's almost every home even in small US and Canadian

villages had TV sets because the government had put in ELECTRICITY

and the delivery of goods and services were available all across the

country to all, even farmers and so called "peasants". China was and IS

and elitist society. All that villages needed was a ROAD, a BRIDGE, some

ELECTRICITY and indoor toilets, sanitation, and telephones and a way

for people to get in and out. That was the responsibility of the Government.

Blaming the villagers is typical of Chinese thinking.

students and teachers in the special education school in changsha, capital of central china's hunan province, express "the new term has begun" in sign language.

I worked for the local school board in Canada, testing incoming Chinese

students from Mainland China. Most had high school and even univerity degrees,

even though China still does not have tuition free High School, their free

or almost free education is to eighth grade. The testing of these students

across the board gave an average score of 4th grade in the Canadian standard

tests. In classroom situations, the incoming Chinese exhibited an astounding lack

of general knowledge, like how to locate where they where on a map, or even how

to find China on a world map. They were taught China was the center of the universe.

Their educational systems in China are memorization by rote and repeating what they

memorized. Analytical and critical thinking and problem solving was not part of their

process. The quality of the their textbooks and educational materials is very low in

China. Basic elementary school science, taught in 3rd,4th, 5th 6th, 7th, 8th grades

in North America and Europe was absent from their education and they

demonstrated little understanding of science, sanitation,biology, chemistry,

or world history. Animal rights were unknown to them, or concepts of human rights.

They had been taught the 36 strategies. A document and philosophy that glorifies

deception and manipulation and lying to accomplish goals.

CO's & DO's age 70+ to be laid off on 9/1/14

in a private conversation with a c.o.

friend from north carolina, he told me yesterday that they just got a letter that all traveling overseers (do's & co's) age 70 & up are going to be laid off on 09/01/2014.

they will be asssigned to local congregations and further details are pending.. .
