Jesus is his earthly name, Michael is his heavenly name
by bruh2012 ini know this topic has been discussed before on this forum, but as it goes in jw world we need reminders.. co said in his last talk i can't remember the title in speaking about jesus, that when jesus returned to heaven he resumed his name michael.
jesus was his earthly name.. through the entire rest of the bible after his ressurection not one reference is made about this.
case in point----when jesus oh wait michael pulled saul over and talked to him, he introduced his self as jesus.

Are you sure the Seventh day Adventists teach this ?
News to me. Just another proof of how much doctrine the Watchtower
stole from the Adventists, starting with the soul not being immortal and
Hell being sleep. Preceded the Watchtower from before Russell was born.
As did the Daniel chronologies.

The Last BOE!
by Atlantis inthis is the last boe we will be able to provide.
our informant or source, was caught, disfellowshipped, and thrown out of bethel.
we knew that sooner or later the watchtower would find him out.

I will donate to a paypal account in his name or to any
means set up to help him out financially, there are thousands
of us and if we each give a few dollars, he could probably use it
since I doubt the WT has provided him with any security at all
for his retirement. I am sure he has legal ground of some sort
to sue, since he gave free labor, its like a partner who does unpaid
work at home and is able to sue for palimony.

the bible and its prophecies
by Crazyguy ini have been doing a lot of research on the bible and its roots so to speak and its becoming clearer that the jews like other races took gods and stories from others and made them their own.
its also become clear that many of the books were written later then stated, like daniel probably written about a hundred years before christ and some of it maybe even after.
but what i don't get is the prophecies.

Darius I (558? - 486/485 B.C. ) the Great was an Achaemenid Great King and empire builder.
At Persepolis, Darius had inscribed the extent of his empire: from the Sakas beyond Sogdiana to the Kush,
and from Sind to Sardis, according to Touraj Daryaee [citation below].
Satrapies had been used by his predecessors, but Darius refined the process.
He divided his empire into 20 of them and added security measures to reduce revolt.
He was responsible for the Persian Empire's capital at Persepolis and for many other building projects,
including roads through his empire (notably the Royal Road with messengers stationed along it so no one man
had to ride more than a day to deliver the post).
As king of Egypt in the Late Period, he was known as a law-giver, and for completing
a canal from the Nile to the Red Sea. He was also renowned for irrigation (qanat) projects), and a coinage systems.
Has anyome here actually travelled in the Middle East ? In Syria ? Egypt ? In Iran (Persia) ? Seen the tombs ?
Seen the excavations, there was an ancient world, seeing the ruins with your own eyes generates respect
for the fact complex cultures and engineering existed thousands of years ago. You can visit Darius's Tomb.

Bugbear- the "International Brotherhood" experience is not special to the WT.
Seventh Day Adventists, Mennonotes, Evangelical Churches, Pentacostals,
and many many other groups have this international brotherhood and recieve
each other and help each other. Church groups go on "Missions" and build
villages and put in wells, and work helping communities all over the world.
What is difficult for many exiting and ex JW's is getting over the " US and Them"
mentality and coming down off the "high horse" and joining humanity.

Jeffro - Wow you should start your own cult, you have it down pat. Look into my eyes, you are Jehovah.
Concentrate, you cannot think without the eight men who call themselves the "faithful and discreet slave"
You must obey, you Must control your source of information or you will begine to think independently.
What about all those scriptures ? About freedom in Christ ? Jesus came to set the captives FREE.
Matthew 23:10 "Call no man your leader, for one is your leader, the Christ "
And read Matt 25 about the faithful and discreet slaves - There were TWO of them, the one with five
talents and the one with two talents, so where, if this means what the WT claims, where is the other slave ?

FL - Panthers - De-briefing in case you missed the Memo - The WT is an anti-Christ
operation headed by eight men who are identfiably the embodiment of the Man of Lawlessness,
who are "Standing in the Holy Place", claiming to be the "sole channel of communication between
mankind and Jehovah " = Blasphemy and rejecton of Jesus Christ as Mediator.
There is only one "channel of communication" and that is the Christ. One Hope, One Body,
which is the Body of Christ, which is everybody who believes in him. There is not two classes.
Nothing in the Bible supports this idea or false doctrine. The Memorial is an annual event where
rank and file JW's go to openly and publically reject Jesus Christ by refusing to do
what he asked them to, which is drink the wine and eat the bread and be part of the Body of
Christ in unity as one body. in Deut it says "When a prophet prophesies and it does not come
about, he is a false prophet. " The Watchtower Organization and the Governing Body, have identified
themselves as False Prophets, the "Truth" is not in them. You cannot approach Jehovah except through
Jesus Christ as direct Mediator. The word organization does not appear in the Bible, anywhere.
The watchtower has been preaching false prophecy since its inception, all its doctrines were
borrowed from early Adventist teachings from the early 1800's and William Miller's "Plan of the Ages"
You have been duped, lied to.

Head covering for women--how did you feel about this? Men? Women?
by humbled inthinking about how this felt awkward to some of us women when a bible student noticed something was "up" if a baptised brother sat in on a study.
had to reference 1 cor.
11:1-16.. i wonder if this irked any while you were still in?.

Legacy - I don't think it was about anger - more about the decision to make their own
moral choices , which was " Knowledge of Good and Evil " They ate of the Tree, of the
Knowledge of Good and Evil, and they were cast out before they ate of "The Tree of Life"
All of this is probably more symbolic than literal. God then turned the whole show over to
them, without abandoning them completly. There was a senario already at work in that
their was a group of non physical beings, "angels" who had already rebelled and were
following Lucifer, represented in the Serpent. So the battle between good and evil begins.
Who can pretend to know what it means ? The best we can hope for is that there are
actually unseen spirit forces and some existance beyond this one, somewhere.
Who cares whether its heaven or earth? Its about being dead or alive. If a man
dies, will he live again ? Is there an ultimate being that is pure Love ? Is this
suffering and confusion mixed with joy all there is ? Is there something in us that
trancends and survives death ? Was God dealing with the Jews ? Was the Bible
some record of the mind of God ? Many Jews only consider the Torah as inspired.
The first five books. The rest is considered history of peoples over time. Paul was
not part of the Jerusalem Council the WT tries to say it is modelling itself after,
In fact there is no written instruction from this Jeruslaem Council except a short
paragraph in Acts 15:23 that tells Gentiles they don't have to get circumcised
and that there is essentially no rules except don't be immoral. It also says they can
go to Synagogue and listen to the Law of Moses (Acts 15:21)
Paul writes 14 books of the Greek or " New" testament, under what authority ?
Not the council , he makes a point of that. And what if many more provacative
manuscripts were destroyed by the early Catholic Church ? or will be discovered
in caves the way the Dead Sea Scrolls were ? As ex JW's we thought we had all
the minute details of the " Truth" all the answers, special knowledge, so we go
through things with a fine toothed comb, picking over little points, and trying to
straighten it all out to make sense and acting as if there was some fundamental
accuracy and special knowledge the WT had at some point. But the more you
search the more you find an empty shell, vanity and chasing after the wind.

They also have a bit on the Hierarchy, on whose in charge of who
and use Matt 25 to establish, not charitable works to the hungry and
poor, but as usual, apply this scripture to helping the Governing Body
by using their own translation, and trying to make this scripture
apply only to Christ's brothers, (not my "little ones" as in other translations )
Of course "Christ's brothers" does not mean YOU or me, but only the eight
men at the top. The scripture I am reffering to is when Jesus said,"I was hungry
and you fed me, naked and you clothed me, sick and you visited me....."
Ignoring this simple instruction to help others and act with charity,
they apply it to "helping the Governing Body". As if these eight men,
who don't work , or pay rent, or have children, and have their meals prepared,
their laundry done, their residences cleaned for them and are waited
on hand and foot, and have all the access to money any billionaire does,
need something more from you, more money, more time, more obedience.

Jason Cobb's posts documents on Internet
by Rufus T. Firefly inbe sure to read timelines 1 & 2 which include some interesting documents.
jason doesn't seem to realize that the course he has chosen has placed him completely at odds with the wts.
as much as he hates to admit it, he has become the thing he despises most...an apostate.

Watcher - Seriously ? You think giving up the teachings and doctrines
of the Watchtower, and the rules of eight mortal men who elevate themselves
to a position of "mediator" by claiming to be the sole channel of communication
between mankind and God, is "giving up Jehovah" Jehovah hates the Watchtower
and he hates the so called non Biblical "Governing Body" because they ARE
the "Man of Lawlessness" and you make yourself anti-Christ by associating
with them and following them. Awake oh sleeper and rise from the dead.
