Is this a new "This Generation" or not?

first of all i want to express my sincere gratitude to atlantis and his good friends for making this 2014 book available.. ------------.

as i see it, and i am absolutely open to contradiction, the wts appears to be giving another new meaning to this generation.

this time the term means all of his anointed followers, including his immediate disciples.

NO the faithful slave is anyone who uses their

resources or talents wisely. People on this site

are so indoctrinated by this strange and false doctrine,

it keeps coming up again and again. You still believe

"they" have the "truth" They do not. They are false prophets

teaching false doctrines and this is a core false doctrine.

"anointed" = false doctrine "slave" =false doctrine

This the parable of the Talents:

There are THREE servants given money,

(symbolic) TWO (not one) are faithful and industrous

and use what is given them.

This has nothing to do with "the anointed" since every

believer and follower of Christ according to the Bible

is anointed with Holy Spirit and a member of the Body of Christ.

So two doctrines are false.

One: All Christians are anointed by belief in Jesus Christ

Two: "the faithful slaves and their talents" was about any

believer given resources and responsibilty.

Its about how WE use our own gifts and lives.

And according to the WT interpretation there

would have to be two governing bodies,

because two slaves were faithful.

Why do you keep going back to this doctrine

and trying to figure it out ?

Its a twisted Watchtower explanation having

nothing to do with centralized authority or a

special "class" or special "slave" who rules.

And please stop using "anointed" like it is

only available to the "select".

There is no scriptural support for that idea anywhere.

The other sheep are the Gentiles, the little flock, the Jews.

Cookbooks ? So everybody who cooks is overeating ?

I would guess people who do not take time to prepare their

own food but live on Coke and hamburgers and fries and

processed pre-prepared food are the ones overeating.

The thinnest and most in shape people I know take great

care with their food.

Just Kidding - Do you think they will be relaxed enough to

allow open disagreement with the Governing Body ?

Will everyone now start speaking to people they have "marked"

and will disfellowshipping and shunning now stop ? Will they

start soup lines for the hungry ? Hand out clothes to the poor

and include non-jws in charity ? Will they now celebrate birthdays?

JW's have always been big drinkers, and look at Jw's in the music

industry. I remember parties with dancing 30 years ago and drinking.

They used to have live music bands at the assemblies. But they still

have false prophesy, and do not believe everyone is part of the body

of Christ and they are still ruled by eight old men who have absolute

authority and are unelected. Women are still treated like second class

citizens and children still are isolated and uneducated.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is world famous, it does not make

Mormonism any less of a cult.

Online Higher Education

let's remember that distance education was pioneered by fundamentalist saudi arabia and apartheid south africa for the very reasons that the jehovah's witnesses criticize higher education.

my wife is one of the faithful and i fear for our kids future, that they will see no point in keeping their grades up.

Kiak - Having a degree does matter , you are right. But I believe

this thread was originally about children? Children "raised in the truth" (sic)

They have been socially isolated remember ? No sports. No team sports ?

No school clubs, no camp outs with boys clubs or scouts, no summer camps.

No hanging out with their friends at school, because they are not allowed friends

at school. Weekends spent attending meetings and going door to door ?

No birthday parties, no Christmas, no community activities. They need to

become socialized. This is a common thread you hear on this site. That

the WT made us misfits and socially disconnected. Learning how to function

in the real world among regular people is a vital part of education.

Without this, they will go back into the WT because its the

only friends they know.

Writing campaign to Washington DC papers in view of International Convention

ive heard from a credible source that the landover (dc) international convention is important to the society in view of the 100 year anniversary of "kingdom rule" and the location being near the capital of the "seventh world power".

perhaps they hope this particular international sends a message.

we know that come convention time usually there is some feel good fluff piece in the newspapers about the watchtower religion.

I would suggest, in order to eliminate material that

would make apostates appear like disgruntled, mentally

unbalanced and ignorant, that the letters be submitted

to an editor that would glean out the crazies among us;

the raving God haters and the Christian bashers since

that kind of thing tends not to be credible or well received

and perceived as similar to ex-employees showing up

heavily armed and having to be hauled away by police.

Another option, as is often used in petitions, is to write

one brilliant letter and have thousands of people sign and

endorse it. Be careful who your spokesman is, since much

of what appears on this site plays into the propaganda of

the Wachtower spin machine.

right here.!! So to claim you have 'not read" the writings of apostates

is already a lie, as you finish this sentence.

The value of Crisis of Conscience is that it is a sane and well

written and systematic dismantling of WT theology by an highly intelligent

insider who actually sat on the Governing Body and as the title implies, he

was a spiritually honest man who thought deeply about his own role

and the fundamental, core, false teachings of the Watchtower Society,

and unravels them brilliantly. This book has been the gateway for perhaps

millions to escape the spiritual bondage of the WT and not go around

secretly believing "they have the truth" They do not. If you are still "in"

you really do not understand who they are, at a core level.

China has become a wealthy nation. However they do not have pensions for

the elderly, or a minimum wage law, or tuition free high school, or free libraries,

or workers compensation, disability, or welfare ,or universal health care.

Even elementary level schools charged tuition. The educational level is low.

China is run by an elite group of self appointed absolute dictators,

much like the Watchtower Society's, Governing Body, they are unelected

and have control over the lives of all Chinese citizens and

if you disagree with them they take you out and put a bullet through your head.

Chine executes by firing squad, about 5,000 to 6,000 of its own citizens every year.

In China there is no freedom of speech, no freedom of the press, and no-one gets

to vote for their own leaders. The Communist Party leaders are all billionaires and

the source of their money is the workers who slave in factories for $5 a day and

they live in the factories, sleep there and eat there. Sounds too bizzare to be true,

but it is all true and the people in this country mostly have no clue.

To clarify: I am not against delivery of education using technology.

I have been using a computer since 1982 and I now own both an

iMac desktop and a 21013 Macbook Pro. I use SKYPE, I also create digital

paintings and I took online courses from Simon Fraser University in

Canada. I also think delivery of video education online is going to

help millions in remote areas. Having said that; people can spend

a lot of money on courses from Pheonix University, and NONE of the

expensive units they earn will be of any value and will not transfer to

any legitimate State College, or University system in the USA or Canada.

If these kids are in California, that State has the most affordable and excellant

State Colleges and Community College system and the Univeristy of California

has financial help and a sliding scale for talented students with high grades

but whose parents cannot afford the tuition. I think education will utilize

the Internet for sure, but it will be an element of the total experience.

for God or any idea of higher intelligence in the universe, and

My life was just as effected as any atheist here, believe me.

I am asking you to keeep the attacks focused on the real villians.

And think about people trying to escape this cult.

Not everyone goes from being an Elder to being an atheist.

Gays are protected here. Why not believers ?

Aren't we allowed to think freely and have our own

ideas about how this universe works?

What if you are doing more harm than good ?

Do you care about driving people back to these

who has successfully separated themselves from this cult

Again , people who believe in God are not the "problem"

Dis-Member - Access to information is not the same as education.

The advantage of being around other students is that there is an

interchange, face to face. Debate occurs. Practical skills are practiced.

You could study automotive mechanics online, and get all the information,

but it will never replace taking a car apart and putting it back together.

You learn from doing and you learn from example and interacting with others.

Learning alone in isolation, you can get the impression you have the whole

picture, when in fact your in some disconnected, half truth

or delusion of knowledge. Sort of like being a JW.

Life is lived in collaboration and social skills are just as important

as , learned by rote, facts and figures. The value of university or technical

school is its social experience. Its about how to function in a professional

environment. An element of learning can occur online, but to function in

the real world and among other people, you need to be in person, interacting.

In a university/college setting you learn problem solving, organization, critical

thinking. You apply knowledge and hold it up for examination and see how

your results or ideas are perceived by others. Even those who are "Googling"

information, must first know what questions to ask and how to judge valid

sources and invalid sources.
