  this is an organization that promotes man-boy love, with support groups, and magazines and books supporting the subject.. and the aclu has gone to bat for these guys.

  pro bono, backing their rights to this sick group.

  Reasons why I LOVE the ACLU

  I can believe in Evolution and express it:

  When Tennessee's new anti-evolution law became effective in March 1925 the ACLU at once sought a test of the statute's attackon free speech and secured John T. Scopes, a young science teacher, as a plaintiff. Clarence Darrow, a member of the Union's National Committee and an agnostic, headed the ACLU's volunteer defense team. Scopes was convicted and fined $100. On appeal, the Tennessee Supreme Court upheld the statute but reversed the conviction.

  I am a Japanese American and not worry:

  Two and a half months after Pearl Harbor, 110,000 Japanese Americans, two-thirds of whom were citizens, were evacuated from their homes and relocated in a series of inland U.S. concentration camps. The episode was a national tragedy, rightfully called by the ACLU "the worst single whosale violation of civil rights of Americans citizens in our history." The strongest voices against evacuation and relocation came from ACLU affiliates on the West Coast.

  I am African American - no more segregation:

  On May 17, 1954, in Brown v. The Board of Education, the Supreme Court issued its historic decision that segregation in public schools violates the 14th Amendment. The ACLU joined the legal battle that resulted in the Court's decision.

  I am a woman: my body is my body:

  In Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton, the Supreme Court held that the constitutional right to privacy encompasses a pregnant woman's decision to bear a child or have an abortion. The ruling struck down state laws that had made the performance of an abortion a criminal act. The ACLU was and remains active in the courts to protect that right.

  Yes..I might not agree with some of their stands, but they do much more good than bad.

  i do agree that we all can grow and learn as time goes on in our lives.

  my question for today is,"have you changed in how you think or in your growth from a spiritual and /or emotional standpoint"?

  aparently the man should be 1.09x taller than the woman.

  this would give my ideal partner height at 5ft, which more than half of my girlfriends have been!!!.

  If The Bush Administration Lied About WMD, So Did These People

  since we haven't found wmd in iraq yet, a lot of the anti-war/anti-bush crowd is claiming that the bush administration lied about iraq's weapons of mass destruction.

  the story being floated now is that saddam had no wmd (or almost none) and that the bush administration didn't tell the truth about the wmd threat.

  well, if they're going to claim that the bush administration lied, then there sure are a lot of other people, including quite a few prominent democrats, who have told the same lies since the inspectors pulled out of iraq in 1998. here are just a few examples of what i'm talking about... .

  can people be single and happy?

  the older i get the more i believe that being single is the way to go.there are so many advantages.just to name a few;.

  you can finish that college degree, go to the neighborhood bar anytime, do charity work, join a night class, stay out all night, flirt with anybody you please.

  I am 34 and I have never been married. So my prospective is from a single P.O.V. At this stage in my life I am happy and enjoying life (family say too much that I need to settle down). Part of being single that I cherish is not planning too much for the future. I have only me to take care of. My single life allows me to fulfill my passion – Travel; it allows me to take a trips impromptu. At the same time I do not rule out marriage because I have many friends who have a fulfilling marriage.

  at walter reed medical center in washington dc recently the sergeant major of the army, jack tilley, was with a group of people visiting the wounded soldiers.

  he saw a special forces soldier who had lost his right hand and suffered severe wounds of his face and side of his body.

  the sma wanted to honor him and show him respect without offending, but what can you say or do in such a situation that will encourage and uplift?
