  My father just beat my brother-

  one more topic.. my wife just called up to tell me that she was over my parents before a doctor's visit, chatting with my mother, when my crazed jw father threw my small 14 year old brother down the stairs and punched him for not wanting to study.. i've been beat, thrown down stairs, had potted plants thrown at me, chased around the house, and such, for not wanting to do the family study.. this is what the "truth" does to people, all you loyal jw's....take note...... (i'm so angry i'm shaking).

  if the active JWs tell you you should not have done that, tell them if what your dad did is ok then the cops will say so, right.

  i've been inactive for about 3 years now and at this time would like to disassociate myself as i do plan to celebrate holidays and such.

  Yerusalyim's understanding of 13.12 is mine too. i would only aid that the love we see indistinctly Paul was speaking about is not only gods love for us and our love for him but also our love for each other.
  love never fails but we only love in part. when the perfect comes we will know love completely.

  just nice to know that i'm not alone.

  i'm truly amazed and had no idea unitil yesterday surfing on a whim i decided to confront my past.

  it's a blessing for me and i feel another turning point in my life because now i have lots of people to talk to and i know now that i wasn't and i'm not going crazy and that it's not just me.

  Evolution-bias(exposed)

  why haz this debate on (evolution v/s creation) stil lively & well after all these years, when,it iz impossible to prove either case?.

  posters like (jan) exibit lots of arrogance & name calling when challanged, why?.

  my theory: people that have been involved in some religion (like the borg),after finding out they have been deceived swing their scale too far to the opposite side in a typical "overaction!

  Abaddon,When someone takes a position & then insults any one that doesn't agree with them, I question their objectivity, thats all.

  you see the thing is there is NO debate about "evolution". In fact evolution can now be better understood by the term "jenetic drift" (random mutation of DNA following natural laws). this drift can be measured and calculated.
  
  as to the insults.........sometimes you need to stand up and yell "open your eyes!!"
  if you were to show someone the multiplication of 5*5, showing plainly and smply 5 groups of 5 objects and the sum of 25 by counting the 25 objects. and that person tells you that his/her dad said 5*5 was 10 so 10 is the answer. well you show him/her again, and again you get the same reply of "10 because dady said so". and again and again at some point you get frustrated and give up trying to explain. then you might tell that person off becuse you know he will not even look at the problem since the answer is painfully obvious.

  i never use the term "evolution" anymore "jenetic drift" is what is happening to every life form on the planet.

  Undeserved kindness vs. Grace

  you guys are probably going to think this is silly of me, but i have always wondered why the society, in the nwt and all of their literature always uses the term "undeserved kindness" and never the term "grace.

  " is it because the churches of christendom use the term grace, therefore it is bad?.

  i know that undeserved kindness is suppose to mean the same as grace, but is it really?

  I agree with Quester that the term undeserved kindness shifts the burden of maintaining a relationship with god onto the human. Anything we get we don't deserve so boy had we better work hard to deserve it more.

  dear friends,.

  i attended a 2 day circuit assembly a couple of weeks ago and one of the speakers gave this scenario.. "i talked to a brother that was standing on the top of the wts building when the planes flew into the wtc.

  he said he knew that the centers would go down at armageddon, but to see it actualy happen, and to see all those poor people jumping from those burning buildings, was gut wrenching.".

  im a female whose favorite family member had fought against jws all her life, then died a few years ago.

  her children are now being raised as jws against her will.

  welcome to the board. studying with the WT playing the JW can be dangerous to you. you will need to memorize all the WT propaganda and you will be subjected to the same thought control techniques that destroyed both our families. i wish you the best of luck with your little ones.
  watch what you say, others will be. even the kids will probably be questioned as to what you say to them, at least at first.
