Heaven forbid if jws should have a connection to a portapotty...er... portal. It would affect their spirituality adversely. Never mind the potty breath they could get as mentioned by blondie.

jayson's (also known here as iwasyoungonce) step-mother passed away last night.
he is now travelling, a 6 hour drive, and will be back with us in a few days.

(((((CoolBreeze))))) My family doesn't live near me, so I would have been spending the day alone if my friend hadn't invited me over. I think helping at a homeless shelter is the most rewarding (and filling) thing you could do! I don't have to say it, but have a very happy Thanksgiving.

i have many favorite recipes and i thought we could get as many recipes as we could and maybe have enough to compile a recipe booklet.
one of my favorites is my stuffing .
1 loaf of any bread that you like sometimes i mix different breads an buns the bigger the tuurkey the more the bread so you would make it more.

Talkin turkey, huh? I've been invited to a coworker's for Thanksgiving (my remaining family lives far away) and we are gonna do two turkeys. She is having mostly men there and you know what big...er...appetites men can have. We are gonna do all the fixins, including the green bean/crispy onion one, mashed potatoes, mashed yams with marshmallow...the whole nine yards. I used to make a pretty good cranberry bread that I plan to take over there. It's been years, maybe I should practice this next week...

Yum, great recipes! Before I became a jw, first my Swedish grandmother, then my mom had Thanksgiving for the family at our house. I won't give you the recipe for Ludfisk (I know I'm not spelling that right), or the oyster casserole, although I would love to dig into both again.
This is a simple thing my mom would do. It's an appetizer and most delicious. All you need are pitted dates, cream cheese and walnut halves. You shove cream cheese into a date and stick a walnut half on top. The combo is orgasmic.
years ago, everybody seemed to talk to their neighbors, and knew just about everything about them, where they work, knew alot about them.
