  if i may... and may you all have peace.. at risk of chafing some... uh, 'positions' with regard to the current 'situation' facing this nation (u.s.) and a good part of the world, i have to ask:.

  just now, i was watching the opening of president bush's address to congress.

  as he entered the room, bush was given a grand standing ovation, whistling, cheers and great applause.

  This was a special occasion not like here on the internet.
  If we aply it like you do, it would mean that the disciple would be saying "may you have peace" every time spoke after being quiet for a while.

  i merely asked a hard-core defender of the faith to justify these as actions of an all-loving, enlightened supreme being.

  WTS involvement with politics/UN exaggerated?

  i've seen the threads on the wts' involvement with cesnur, swaggert, and the un.

  since then, i've done additional research on the internet, including accessing the un's webiste and searching for "watchtower" and "jehovah's witnesses.

  " and i am concerned that many of the posts on this website grossly overexaggerate the degree of the wts's involvement and its purpose.. in my internet research, the only connection i have seen between the wts and cesnur or the un is in situations on the world scene threaten their right to religious freedom.

  lets play a game!.

  let make beleive that this post is headed by elders from you know congregation, and they have heard rumors about you know apostasy, but before they can get a committee together the need solid facts that you know is truly an apostate.. the poster can play either the part of elders who are investigating, or that of a loyal jws bringing facts to the elders attention about this matter.. i think this could be fun, or i maybe totally wrong and nobody wants to play this game.. we might even get enough facts together to form a committee and disfellowship him (in our game).

  About that PEACE thing-a-ma-giggy that you always use, I think you use it so much it's begining to be meaningless.

  If we always say:"may you have peace", and then we sass somebody it sounds very phrasaical.

  It's not sincere it's just window dressing for our words.

  So if you say something like that over and over you don't really mean it, it's just a formallity.

  will un put governing body in charge of new government in afghanistan?.

  drudgereport.com is reporting from the guardian that usa will topple taiban regime, then allow un to put in tempory gov.. kick one cult out and maybe stick another cult in there?

  the bible says those who have faith in christ are emancipated from the fear of death.. what does that really and truley mean?.

  perhaps you recall the instance in the bible where samson made a wager with the philistines that they couldnt guess his riddle.

  as it turned out they wheedled the answer out of him by his fiancee, but the point is that they had a wager.

  since the underlying assumption of the apostasy is that we are not living in the last days of this system of things, and that this world is not facing anything remotely like the biblical apocalypse, at least not any time soon, in the spirit of such antagonism, i would like to propose a similar wager.

  Why make a bet with people that will not exist if you win?
