Hello all. I have just finished what seems like the week from hell. At work we have been overwhelmed trying to make sure all the people in the area get xmas assistance. We have people trying to get through the system twice. It has been exhausting. My cars heater fan decided to quit working....it has just been too much. Well I am going out tonight for my friends b-day. I hope to drink and have some fun...I need a release....

Body Piercings, Tattoos, etc
by Sky ini was having a discussion last nice about these things.. i went out about a half hour after my dissing waas announced and got a tattoo.. who else has gotten tattos, or body piercings, or any type of body modificatoins done since leaving?.

Interesting questions. I however have had a man tell me that I was beautiful and no one looked at him funny. As for the white thing, I think anyone can be proud of their hertiage, but for any white person, your hertiage is not being white...that is not even a technical race or ethnicity, just like black is not really a race or ethnicity. You should be proud of you ancestory, everyone should be and I do not think that is looked down upon. It is looked down upon when any person looks down upon other people that are not the same as them...

Sexy...hmmm...I think someone with beautiful eyes and smile are sexy. They have be smart. Someone that challenges me and makes me think is very sexy. In guys I like nice legs and in women I love naturally curly hair....
I have to admit I think accents are sexy too....

Hi there. I feel like I might understand your son's situation a little. I was brought into the org when I was 13 and it is a downer to make a kid do that when they do not want to. I would encourage your son to get involved in things at school, he is at that age where he can make a lot of great friends by doing stuff he enjoys. I was pulled out of basketball and other sports at 14 and I regret that. Also, maybe have him tell his grandparents that he would rather come over on non meeting days, see how it goes. I know what you are both going through is very hard. Leaving is hard. I left quietly when I went to college and no one made a big fuss. I wish you the best. If your son seems to get more depressed, you might want to look into counseling before it takes it toll. Good luck again.....

Did Crisis of Conscience damage you?
by Mulan init has been suggested, by a man we know, that those who read crisis of conscience, are left with a feeling of despair and are "cast adrift" after reading it.
it is his opinion that the book shouldn't have been written, because it does harm to people.
i do not agree, and would like to hear from anyone who has an opinion to share, so i can print all this out and show it to him.. comments, everyone, please????

Reading Ray Franz book helped me to see what I had suspected. I suspected that the organizaion had corruption in it. This confirmed it. I was especially touched by the chapters on how the mexican brothers got the ok to get their military card, while brothers in malawi were dying. It was awful. They are hypocrites, and this book confirmed it. It gave me the freedom to know it was ok, not to think like the JW anymore. It gave me the freedom to know that they are just a religion like any other, they are not the truth. It gave me freedom to pray again....

JW Revelation interpretation is nuts.
by refiners fire inthe witness interpretation of the book of revelation is the most ridiculous i have ever seen in a major religion.. sometimes i read revelation again, looking for it to come clear to my eyes,and i was reading it last night.
the dubs are lost.. example.
so much for the dubs on the 1918 ressurection.. verse 5:.

Refiner...good post, I was thinking of posting a similiar post myself today, but read yours first. I had a friend that is also a xjw ask me what I feel like if the dubs were right about how the end would happen.
My reply was, I was only in that org 6 years, and I never took it into my heart. Sometimes it made sense in my head, but never in my heart. The whole religion was missing that piece, so I could have continued to be a dub and never have fun, wasting my life pretending and die anyway because it was not in my heart, or I could live the way I wanted and die happy. But I told, I did not believe anymore, using some examples you just gave. And said so I live a happy life and prolly won't die that way anyhow. Either way in my book I win. Thanks for the post....
