my first reason is the fact that i was being controlled through the jw social structure, and having to fight to do anything....even whether to wear a tie or not.

the preoccupation with appearance was so debilitating; that was all i was ever concerned with.

and, as i'm not attractive, good in sports, or a conformist, i had very few friends.

I appreciate you posting an answer to me but the simple fact is that all this talk about Elohim does nothing to address what any of us has PROVEN TO YOU, about the control of lives by the borganization known as the watchtower society. Therefore if you are going to answer on this subject, address the issues raised and do it with PROOF, like the rest of us has done. You are simply trying to make excuses for the leaders of the borg with unprovable imaginary doctrine using some other vague belief system.

And I too hate the wts. Because when you get down to the roots of the borg, and their reason for being in existence, there is NOTHING to love about that organization. NOTHING. Let the borg die painfully.

Ashitaka was absolutely correct when she said that the borg tries to control all aspects of life.All you have to do to understand this is to look into the publications of the borg such as the Watchtower or awake! magazines and you will see that they have written rules on every aspect of life over the years. For example, you would find rules on the sex life of married couples, what kind of gatherings to have, and yes, what kind of clothes to wear, grooming of hair, medical treatment, whether holistic treatment is okay or not, what kind of books to read, movies to watch, theatre plays to go see, even a quote from a magazine that blatantly said that watching westerns on tv are wrong,rules on whether or not higher education is acceptable to God or not, what kinds of additional education are suppposedly acceptable for "Christians", rules on whether or not a person should think for themselves, marriage receptions, whether or not it is acceptable to arrange a gathering that people would have to pay for, and hypocritical rules on voting, military service, blood. Rules on visiting relatives who are not jehovahs witnesses, whether or not you should stay with your relatives if they happened to visit you on a meeting night.Whether or not you should go to a relatives wedding or funeral if it is held in a church, whether or not aluminum foil is okay, whether or not medical injections are okay, rules on transplants, rules that state that a JW is only being faithful to God if they go to 5 meetings per week. Rules on what kind of employment is acceptable.
If I'm not mistaken,(and I could be mistaken about this), the ONLY aspect of life that these pharisaical criminals might not have made rules on is what kind of FOOD we could eat.
But I could give you references on every subject mentioned above which would prove that Ashitaka was absolutely correct when she said that the borg tries to control your life.

what do you think?if the gb came out with a new policy, such as you must now spit at people who dont take the mags off you on the ministry, and give some obscure scripture to prove it.. would the witnesses do it?

or would they twig something is not right?.

well this is what i have to say to you wts hypocrites: what about following your own writings and looking inward and admitting that you have been and are protecting child molesters instead of trying to put a smoke screen over it with more watchtower magazine trash that you put up on your website????!!!!.

if you put so much trust in your watchtower magazines, then why don't you follow this "jewel" from your own watchtower of 1959 page 172 from the article: " helpers toward walking wisely"?.

I meant to point out that you wts slavemasters also felt that the information in the above-mentioned article was so important that you made sure you reprinted it during the late 80's and early 90's so that we would all have it. So you can't claim it is old information.

And for your information WTS, this article also makes the point that service committees need to use their power with caution to avoid getting into difficulties with the law courts of the land.

Has anyone read "30 Years a WT Slave"?

it was written in 1971 by william j. schnell, born in 1905 and was a dub from 1924-1954, holding many high positions within the org.

from bethel to direct one on one meetings with rutherford.. interesting slant that i never really considered as a plausible possibility, but now it has me wondering:.

the main theme of his book is that the society's main ulterior motive was to basically become a financial empire by selling books and publications.

Arrested for going kingdumb and dumber hall!

last night (3/21) the mountain view (ca) police arrested me.. this happened as i was attending the sunnyvale congregation service meeting.. i was dfd last july and was told by the elders the conditions for reinstatement were meeting attendance, repentance along with not speaking to anyone or anyone speaking to me (shunning at its finest).

(btw, i was dfd for apostasy).

This was during a study of the greatest man book. One of the scriptures mentioned in the lesson was Matthew 28th where Jesus says to baptize in the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit.
I raised my hand and commented on this scripture and using the wts own watchtower references I commented on how in the 1985 watchtower that the society was wrong when they changed this command to being baptized in the name of the father, the son ,and God's spirit-directed organization. I commented that this change was against what the Bible actually said.
I then also showed how in the 1970, 1971, and 1972 watchtowers, that they used to say what Matthew 28th chapter actually said, but they changed the scriptures and that this 1985 change was wrong.
The conductor was so mad that he refused to call on me anymore that evening even when no one else would raise their hand. I got up in front of everybody and questioned him as to why he was refusing to call on me anymore. He told me to sit down. I said no. we had some further words and then he told me I would have to leave if I didn't sit down. I told him I was leaving anyway. And I left.
Interestingly, this book study was mostly older sisters and even after that incident they still continued to talk to me when they would see me. Because they knew my character and they knew I was right and they knew what kind of an elder I had been.
