China is catching up FAST with their technologies and is the biggest threat against USA .
What technology? They can't build their own naval ships worth crap, their space program is behind all other first world nations' space programs. They can't even build their own microprocessors!
What I do admire with Chinese? They do not attacking anyone and no one wants to attack them. Of course the problem is in Taiwan and of course USA is messing there as well as in many other countries.
Wait, WHAT?? The problem is IN Taiwan?? Huh? People wanting to live in a free democracy is a problem? OOOooooKAY then...
Just wonder why USA will not attack China instead of Iraq .
Let me think....hold on...it's coming to me....OH YEAH - because contrary to popular opinion, we DON'T attack anyone just because we feel like it. If China was harboring terrorists, yes, we most certainly WOULD be planning some form of retaliation.
China has many more weapons of mass destruction than Saddam can possibly imagine.

actually a friend of mine, alex, (who hopefully might read this and commence posting on this board) has been insisting for 20 years that women are naturally bi sexual.
i laughed at his claims.. but now, looking around here, and based on numerous group chats ive had with women on this site, there seems to be some evidence that his theory is correct.

Fire Walls and Sueing the Society
by voltaire ina few thoughts about the society's efforts to protect itself from litigation.. i attended the elder's seminar a few years back where we were instructed to write in our elder's manual a few extra instructions pertaining to filling out the society's disfellowshipping forms and other aspects related to judicial cases.
that was nothing terribly unusual.
we often wrote in clarifications and updates during meetings with the co. this time was a little different because we filled an entire page with seven(i think) specific instructions.

I mean, yeah, an elder being left out to dry by the society will probably not rule on any major decision again, but, OTOH, he may just be removed as an elder. Do you really think the rest of the local (and other congregation) elders will be all, like, "Wow, the org really diverted blame onto that poor fellow"?
NO, of course not. If he's booted, his decision was wrong. If he wasn't booted, but goes bankrupt from lawsuits, it's Satan persecuting him. If he wasn't booted, and actually wins a lawsuit, HURRAY FOR GOD!!!
Blahblahblah. The only way to make headway is to find ways to get the society involved. Attacking the local elders is counterproductive.

JWs and Stronger Marriages?
by Pubsinger ina bit of a follow on from the "honesty" thread.. another claim that jws make is that they have stronger marriages and are less likely to divorce.. try writing down all the jw couples that you know of that have divorced.. there are bonus points for those who didnt make 2yrs!.
i think you will be shocked at the number you can come up with.
we came up with 60 couples in less than 20mins.
