OOOhhhh, this one hits close...first, general comments. How the article would have read...30 years ago!
Playing violent computer and video games
Reading the violent and graphic tales of violence in books (not the bible, though) may encourage aggressive behavior.
Electronic games
Reading books can make you more than a spectator of violence; they are designed to make you feel like a participant.
For the impressionable, reading books
games may blur the distinction between reality and fantasy.
Like an addiction, reading books
game playing can lead to neglect of important obligations (like, selling magazines!) and relationships.
Games
Books can consume time that should be spent on other important activities, such as studying (our magazines), interacting with others (to sell them magazines, and forget we mentioned that online games have you interacting with others, too), and playing creatively ("I'm the householder, you be the witness and practice your presentation!").
Prolonged staring at the screen
reading of books (but not ours!) can cause eyestrain.
Lack of exercise, a possible result of reading too many books (but not ours!)
game playing, can lead to obesity.
Games
Books (not not ours!) can rob you of money and time.

Bleh, just don't like how generic that piece was.
As soon as I find it difficult to keep my playing at a balanced level, I just push the delete button again
I HATED that cycle. When, as a teen, I would start drifting towards wordliness, I'd have a collection of games and Star Trek books, etc (god forbid!). I'd feel all guilty, and throw it all out. Then, I'd start buying some more, feel guilty again, throw it all out.
I'VE LOST SO MUCH STUFF THAT WAY!!!
Gods, I hate these people. Here they are ENCOURAGING that behavior!!!
