It's tough. At times I have thought about divorce. Fortunately for me my wife enjoys the benefits of being married to a "Worldly Person" (I lol everytime I hear that term and then I get angry and punch a pompous elder or GB member in the face in my mind and lol again. )
I have given up on the long debates and trying to forcefully get her out of the cult. Now I simply point things out here and there and give her materials for her meetings before her precious "spiritual shepards".
I think the best thing I ever did was break it down hour by hour and showed her that it takes a 15 hours a week to do the bare minimum required as a witness. Since that she sporadically skips studying and skips some door knocking. This worked because we struggle as two working stiffs to find the time to do all of lifes more mundane chores and she sees how much of an imposition this is but will not say it of course.

Amazingly my wife has had a copy of Animal Farm in her purse for over 3 months. Though I don't think she is reading it. I tried taking it out of the purse and she wanted me to leave it. I lucked out because I recommended Perks of Being a Wallflower to her and she really absorbed it, so at least she will take reading recommendations from me. Though she wasn't interested in reading Steven Hassan...lol But that's ok, I just let it roll of my back.
To stay on topic, I read 1984 not too long ago and will never get over the parallels between his writings and the whole Jehoover Witlesses experience. I think it's amazing how well he articulates what is going on in the minds of Party Members. -

25 YEARS of compiled yearbook statistics
by 88JM inhello again folks - as promised in my last thread here, i've been working on turning yearbook statistics into excel spreadsheets.. coincidentally, today is my 25th birthday (spare a thought for a fader).. i've now updated the spreadsheet with yearbook data all the way back to 1988 (the year i was born), therefore it now contains 25 years of statistics.. there were a lot of countries changing around and for some it was possible to create a continuation of data.
some are a simple change of name like south-west africa to namibia.
others, for example - in 1993 with czechoslovakia splitting into two countries (czech republic and slovakia) i have added an extra row that provides a continuation of the data, combining czech republic and slovakia back together as if they were still one country.

I just did a quick figure from 1990-2012 there was an overall increase in publishers of 3,765,133.
The total number of hours of "field serve-us" required to attain that increase was 27,636,059,813.
Return on investment? .00013624 %
In other words it took 7,340 man hours to get a net increase of ONE publisher above the 1990 avg total of 3,846,311 publishers when you pool the numbers since 1990.
I find this amusing but sad at the same time as these bastards steal my wife just about every Saturday and for 30+ hours this past March.

I too would either feel sick or get extremely angry. It's why my wife no longer wants me to go with her. This coming from the woman that said she wanted me to go just so she wouldn't look bad. Then she woke up and realized it was better I didn't go as my muttering to her everytime some logical fallacy bull***t thing came up is more suspicious than me just dissappearing.
