Does anyone get scared?
by aud8 indoes anyone who has left the organisation ever get scared at current world events and what they seem to be leading to?
more and more the governments are getting fed up with religion, there is now more than even a call "for" peace rather than "of" peace and security.
bin laden and his extremist religious views would give rise to the thought that governments will in the future be intent on eradicating religion altogether due to the trouble it causes.

I am with Sirona on this one! If there is a God and he would kill all those people just because they don't worship a certain way...is that they kind of God you would want to worship anyway??? lol and would you really want to spend eternity with the Jdubs??? Sounds more like hell than paradise to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Enjoy the life you have now...make the most of it..who knows what the future holds....

i have, quite recently i began to take particular notice of one posters writings, and i thought to myself - 'that fella has got his head screwed on!'.
a week or so later said "fella" made a reference to her husband!

Venting against crazy JW's
by kevin221 inwell i finally made a decision.
i went to the local jw church and told them that if they didn't communicate with thier "hierarchy" and get jon's father to stop spending every night in his car on the street outside of my house that i was going to file suit, first against him, then against the crazy organization that seems to sanction his actions.
that man has been outside of my house every damn night and i finally figured out that since the local cops couldn't seem to do anything about it i would.. the other night i sat out on my front porch and waited for him to park his car across the street.

An interesting dilemna
by mindfield inaaaarrgh... i finally got the guts to tell my mom yesterday i wouldn't be attending any more meetings.
of course, i had my reasons all laid out (going to the meetings would be hypocrite of my part, etc.
) but, surprisingly, she didn't ask for any reason.

Poor Lisa!!! I remember the last month...last week..last day..I thought I was NEVER going to drop that baby! Sex was not on my mind..but as usual was on hubbys! Do they ever NOT want sex? lol well he did cool down a little the day after we had him clipped

Two sex questions
by Seeker4 inok, have had enough to drink tonight so i will toss these two questions out.
will discuss this a bit more tomorrow.. 1. how many of you had sex outside of your marriage after leaving the witnesses?
provide whatever details about how and why that you're comfortable with.. 2. funny question: had a friend write me today that probably more jws per capita enjoyed oral sex the night they read it was a "conscience matter" than any other group in the us.

Hey Ranchette I can certainly see where you are coming from and totally agree...you need to have honesty and openness in ANY relationship!
The open marriage came about after I found out my husband of 15 years had cheated on me..being of the "don't get mad get even" class I then in turn had my own affair. (lol hope your wife doesn't take after me seeker!) Once everything was out in the open we were able to determine what we BOTH wanted from our marriage. We enjoy each others company, have great sex together, have a beautiful daughter and a lot of history together. Neither of us wanted to lose that, but we also enjoy the company of others and found that neither of us minding "sharing" our partner. The outcome of all this was an open marriage.
So far it has worked for us...a lot of people ask me if I think it will break my marriage up...I don't know I don't have all the answers...lol if I did I wouldn't have been a JW for over 20 years, now would I???
Just saw your post Jan - you sound like a prime candidate for an open marriage I agree that you need to have a really good relationship with someone for this type of thing. Be confident and comfortable with who you both are and what you want..you can't be jealous...but like everything I am sure it has lots of pitfalls that we need to be looking for...and there is an element of risk involved...but that is what makes it exciting.....what is life without some risk??? death!
