The MEANEST Mom in the World! :)

i had an experience with my son the other day and thought i would share it with the board.. i decided to take my son out to dinner.

my daughter was off with friends and my husband was working.

with it only being the two of us, i really didnt feel like making a mess in the kitchen and then have to clean it up.

I thought I was the Meanest Mom in The World. LOL- We'll all have to get together for meetings and plotting against our kids- just how much we can mess with their lives. We could have membership cards-! Then when they tell us that- we can whip out the membership card and show it to them YEP- see- and here is my membership card- this means that I'm skilled and trained at this and it might get worse very soon!!! LOL

Angharad- Yes, they do grow out of it- Unfortunately it's when they are about 21 or so Amazing how they can fluctuate between not liking us and we are so mean to us being the greatest thing in the world (when we've done something "cool" for them) Mine's 14 and she goes in spurts. If she doesn't agree that she doesn't NEED to wear glitter to school, I'm a witch. But if I pick up that great sweater she was looking at- wow-instant change to the briliiant for me.

Get your helmets on- it's a long ride !!! But I wouldn't miss it for the world!

I'm sorry that you have to go through this. I may be able to help you. Workers's Compensation Law varies from state to state, but much of it is consistant. I've been working with it for 19 years and I may be able to provide some insight and resources for you. Feel free to email me at [email protected] . Let me know what state you are in.

One of the worst things that an employer can do is to terminate someone while they are suffering from a work-related injury and many states have provisions in the law for penalties for malice and bad faith to enforce this. Without evidence to the contrary, your husband's employer will be hard pressed to prove that he quit his job.

The first thing that I would suggest that you do is to cease all communication that is not necessary with his employer. Get a good attorney who is well versed in Workers Comp Law and let him/her do your talking. With emotions running high (rightfully so) it is too easy to say something that could be twisted later on.

Dreams and Recovery Issues

the subject of dreams has been talked about frequently as part of the recovery process when something traumatic or life altering happens.. i just thought it might be of interest to share the path of my dreams over the last year, to those who may be going thru leaving the organization.. all my life i had the armeggedon dreams, but i was always safe.

when i left the borg, i still had the armeggedon dreams but this time i didnt make it.

and i was responsible for my family too.

It sounds to me like your dreams may be the way your subconscious mind tries to work through some of the issues you are dealing with upon leaving the JW's. Things which you may understand more fully in the light of day and some you may simply not have the time, with your hectic schedule to actually focus on and work through at another time. Sounds like some guilt feelings coming through in there. It will take some time to work through that and this is way for your mind to do it's healing work. After awhile, as you feel better about all of this, I think the dreams will subside as well.

I'm sure it's scary and eerie for you and from this vantage point I do think i'ts a good thing overall because the stuff is reaching you- it's not so buried underneath there. And because it's reaching you, it can move OUT. All part of the healing maybe.

I admire the way you are dealing with all of this- THROUGH. Not over, under, around or stuffed inside- THROUGH. Keep writing and keep talking. You'll get there. You are doing GREAT!!!!!

and guess who was also "recruiting" at this job fair?

Nope, no entrance fee to walk through if you were a job applicant. There was however a fee of $900 to have a booth there to sell your organization for folks to "join".

Innovative? I'd call it sleazy.
