  There was a man...

  ...he was a very happy and self-satisfied man; a man who needed nothing from anyone else.. but he got this notion to move west and establish a special place for him and his wife.

  with hundreds and thousands of acres of pristine land, a bonanza of wonderful things!.

  as he and his wife lived there, others heard about this incredible place, and asked to move there, and in his beneficience and generosity he invited anyone and everyone to join his community: free land, plenty of food, no fears, life abundant.. as this idyllic community developed, avenues and streets were made, so that everyone could easily get around to meet with each other.. but it became apparent to this happy man that there were certain hazards associated with these avenues and streets: there would be accidents!

  How many believe in a literal, firey hell that God will damn people to?

  do you truly believe that there is a place/state/condition that god will forever banish some people to, along the lines of the hell concept?

  only the "really bad", the "bad", or even the "not as good as they should be"?.

  (this came to mind when i saw the "jews in hell" thread.

  If there is anybody who should burn in hell, it is god. (Not giving him the capital letter here)

  Think about it.

  If any dad can be accused of neglecting his children, not providing the neccesities of life, and cruelty to children, it is the diety referred to as YHWH.

  (shaking fist at sky, as I can't strike any rocks with my staff because they are all buried under 7 feet of snow, which of course is another reason to shake my fist at the sky)

  Ok, I got the call. I am going to be DF'd February 3rd

  just got off the phone with the judicial committee, the same one that i blew off last sunday.

  i wasn't even sure they'd call, but come to think of it, i think that's just what they're supposed to do if i don't show up.

  they called as a conference call (none of them has been willing to talk to me on the phone alone!

  i love this programme,.......we get loads of crap from the states, but when they make a good show....wow!!

  along with friends and simpsons.....this has got to be right up there with the classics!!!!.

  ok i accept that it was bad to say a plane crash was too good for him, no excuse.. .

  for those of you who dont know what i'm on about it's regarding my post "the john denver issus, vote now" .

  having been subjected to 50 yrs of preducial abuse while i was a jw can have a pretty lasting effect towards some of the people who were responsible for dishing it out, you should have been at the concert it made me feel sick.

  Root for a team that cannot even claim a state as their home. I've looked on a map of the USA, and for the hell of me I cannot find the state of New England.
