Has a critical mass of exJWs been reached?

it took the better part of 15 years but i believe we have finally arrived at that point where there is now a critical mass of former witnesses.. thousands of exjws come together on forums like this one and discuss findings, ideas and research.

there have been documentaries and even a movie made about life in the jehovah's witnesses.. ex jw websites, online forums, and discussion boards that set the wheels in motion in the early to late 90s have matured into powerful tools of social change within the organization.. the lies and false doctines taught by the watchtower bible & tract society are plainly accessible with just a cursory google search.. active elders leak boe letters, often weeks before they hit the notice board in a kingdom hall.. social media has allowed exjws to connect with those still in as well as those who have left.. the society have no game plan because information is power and they have lost the information war.

all they can do is cry wolf and warn the rank and file not to listen to apostates.. i don't know what future the society will face in the next ten years, but changing world events, social trends, and reactionary change from headquarters based on their own faulty biblical chronology has got them cornered like a raging animal.. it doesn't look good..

Effective placards would make a characature of JW dogma:

"Don't talk to your df'd children!"

"Father's day is evil!"

"Don't go to university!!!"

"1 generation + 1 generation = 1 generation!"

I would love to where placards like these.

as a little background - i was born-in to being a witness, back in '79, in detroit, in mostly black and poor congregations.

baptized when 10-ish, stayed around, was on the fast track to ms, but faded when i moved out at 24ish.. there was a combination of a few things that got me on the road to "freedom" from the cognitive dissonance that kept me "in the truth" for so long.

the main thing was, being an artist and studying marketing, my thinking was patterned to constantly question if i was doing something "correctly," as constant improvement and questioning is what facilitates artistic and mental growth.

Syncis....sounds like another MLM scheme

my sister who is 26 and a jw, recently quit her job to join this "company" that helps people invest for retirement.

she has a masters and was working in education.

now she's sold on syncis.

I looked on their website, it looks EXACTLY like MLM to me. I've copied and pasted the following:

If they are talking about you selling to your friends and family on their website, yep, it's good ol' mlm.

Another thing, you see her agenda. She wants to talk with dfd men. She threw in the "girls are welcom too" just to not be so obvious.

She's just lonely, which means the shunning is working perfectly on her.

No doubt she got dfd for the same reason 99.44% get dfd. Should probably stay off of Clist if she doesn't want that to happen again.

Hiliarious, dfd people think its ok for them hang out with other dfd people. IT"S NOT!

If you are working on gettng back in, you should be playing by all the rules, that includes shunning other dfd people.

Free Will - What a Joke !

everytime i hear jw's talking about free will, i either feel the urge to burst in laughter or feel sick.

each publication keeps talking about how wonderful jokehova is for giving us free will.

the only small thing is that he'll kill you if you don't do exactly what he says.

This is one of many key questions about life that the Bible is silent on.

1,500 pages of fine print in the Bible and there is not even a paragraph of discussion of this subject. Why is that? The dudes that wrote most of the BS that fills these pages were Bronze age goat hearders in Palestine who weren't real deep thinkers, they were slave owning, patriarchal, animal sacrificers.
