hey everyone, i was hesitant to post this article i read because abortion debates can turn so ugly so fast.

so i thought about it for and decided i should post it because it is important for those of us who value the right the choose to be aware of what that really means here in the us.

Jan, the sceince I've read says that 1st Trimester babies DO indeed feel pain. Muttled science so lets err on the side of caution. Pro-Life and Pro-Abortion are no more childish than PRO-CHOICE and ANTI-ABORITON.

Your first statement made NO sense to me at all.

The concern is not only with Pain for the baby but about proper moral choices. That a baby is in the womb or out of it shouldn't matter, Genetically, what is inside the mother is human, it meets the criteria for "life" it is a HUMAN LIFE, Why not push for more sex education and responsible sex and less abortion on demand, which only encourages more irresponsible sex in society. I have all the respect in the world for a gal who got raped or whose life is endangered by the pregnancy. This is clearly a matter between her and GOD. WHat I oppose is abortion on demand that holds human life as disposable. Partial Birth abortion, for want of a few inches and a few seconds a baby COMPLETELY outside the mother, and there is NO MEDICAL REASON for the procedure. I call that cold blooded murder.

Funny story about VeniceIT

by popular demand, i am yielding to pressure, to tell a story about our very own veniceit.. in march, venice and her parents were visiting us here in washington state, and we all had dinner at our daughter's home one evening.

(my daughter posts here as princess) princess's son, 4 years old, was quite taken with venice and was showing her around the house.

Proof Please!

the other day someone made a reference to "mountainous" proof of the existence of an historical jesus.. refusing to suffer fools gladly, the poster was challenged to produce this "mountain" and i haven't heard a peep of it - not that i'm surprised.

a bb friend with whom i carry on a regular private correspondence reminded me of this challenge, and i was wondering if the "mountain" or even a hillock is ever going to be forthcoming?

I gotta call you to task on this issue...

Thus, the difference between pro-choice and anti-abortion is not about whether human life is worth preserving. It is a question about a crucial fact: Is a human first-trimester embryo a human being with human rights? Those who are pro-choice say, backed by scientific and ethical arguments, it is not.
Sure, an embryo has the potential to become human, but so has a sperm or egg cell. Such an embryo has no capacity for thought, thinking, planning, feelings or pain. Its mother certainly has.

There is just as much scientific evidence and ethical arguement on the Pro-Life side as there is on the Pro-Abortion side. FACT the first trimester embryo meets the scientific definition of "LIFE" If it's A LIFE then it is also HUMAN LIFE. That it can not survive outside the womb should be of little bearing, a baby OUTSIDE the womb can not survive on it's own. As to the feeling pain part, there is a LOT of science that says these poor babies do INDEED feel pain.
Now if you would, please speak to Partial Birth Abortion and justify that if you can.

How much do members of the governing body make?

just a simple question although i would also like to know if they have any sort of salary, or if there truly is evidence that they do make personal use of the voluntary contributions from the flock.

please understand that i am skeptical and i would like anything that can be baked up.

Thanks for the estimates, I concur. However, does anyone have figures on what the dividends for stock in the Corporations is, and how much stock the GB holds? I think this is a key issue here, but I could be wrong.

Tina, I love ya and I respect ya, but we legislate morality all the time. Murder is illegal even when it's revenge for another murder. If a mother kills her baby after it's born, it's murder, if before it's not. Why the difference. The way the law is set up today, if a woman has a partial birth abortion it's ok, but if she's intending to give birth, and the doctor were to kill the baby on purpose, it's murder, strange concept.

, no, the option there is responsible sex, which sometimes means (don't say it) NO SEX. Part of the risk of sex is children, don't play the game if ya can't play the game. Further FULL ENFORCEMENT of child support would be a good idea too. I know I didn't get a DIME from my ex-wife.

please can someone shed light on the claim that when the bible was originaly written it had the name jehovah in it over 7000 times but it was changed because of superstition?

how do you dispute it?

exactly where did they get that crazy version of their bible anyway?

The Resurrection is ENTIRELY a matter of Faith, that is why He only appeared to the faithful. Still, some scholars reason that the apostles did experience SOMETHING out of the ordinary, their lives were changed by what they experienced, and all but one died for that belief. I choose to believe in the resurrection, and have been given faith in it. But no, there is NO PROOF outside of faith for it.
