i know, i never formally introduced myself when i signed onto this board.
however, a little bit about me.
i was raised as a witness since age 10. my mother and my 3 siblings are all witnesses.

i was listening to the news this morning and they were reporting on a double shooting that had just happened at a pharmacy.
details about the shooting weren't available as it had just happened but the reporter detailed what he was witnessing as the emts removed two badly wounded victims from the pharmacy.. about ten minutes later he came back on the radio and gave an update, including comments from a pharmacy employee who was due in at nine am (the shooting must have taken place around 8:30 or so).. .
reporter: did you find what happened here surprising?.

i agree that the statement made sounded very emotionless----could be she's a jw---who knows. but the jw response to any and all tragedy is very cookie cutter response and mentality. i don't think i'll have to guess at what her introduction will be out in field service this saturday!!!! i heard the report on the local news tonight---we must be in the same area. i havn't been posting long here, but walked away back in '97. even though i don't know you (then again maybe i do) i'm especially glad when i see someone "local" to me posting.

i'm still blown away by it.
when i went out the door this morning to take the kids to school (7:15 a.m.) i turned on my cell phone and there were two messages from his retirement home, both saying that he had fallen at about 4:30 a.m. and was being taken to the hospital.
i called the hospital and they told me that he said he had taken 18 xanax in an effort to kill himself.

i'm so sorry to hear of your dad's troubles as well as your own. it must be very painful for all of you. what a typical response from the brain dead CO. please know that i'm thinking about you and your dad. i hope things work out ok

the issue of child molestation among jehovah's witnesses is not going to go away ... no amount of the watchtower society trying to ignore it, or watching silly videos about the ancient jewish men, korah, dathan, and abiraham will change the hard fact that the watchtower bible & tract society and its associated organizations must and will be forced to change their policies on how they treat minor jehovah's witness children.
today, nbc once again contacted me for additional information and details to help them in their understanding and investigation of this serious issue.
i know of others being contacted throughout the united states ... many of whom will provide significant information and details that is going to make this issue come out into the light of day more and more ... .
nancee park----i couldn't let your comments go regarding scumrat. i know this poster personally and he has been battling the WTS since 1977 on the specific issue of child abuse. he knows all too well and first hand how UGLY and EVIL the WTS has been regarding this. we all want to see an end to such suffering, and we plan to be there on sept. 27 to show our support.

the producer from dateline called us to make sure we would be at the march on the 27th.
they are sending a film crew to cover it and i hope there will be a nice turnout to represent all who have had watchtower imposing silence of their sexual abuse.
they may do a follow up to their earlier program that aired last spring.
just to let you know i will be going along with another member of this board from the boston area. we'll be traveling via amtrak and are very eager and excited. i hope it's a good turnout and i'm so glad to hear of a dateline crew attending.
i have made the commitment to go to the sl march.
i'm supplying a ride for someone who is in need.
i'm even buying new tires and brakes to make sure my ride is safe for the trip :).

what a heart wrenching experience to read!!! i am so sorry that you had to endure awful abuse at the hands of your mother!!!

we had a total of 5 people show up, including myself, bruce baker presented the lamb, and left a press packet on the door, with copys of the new york times articles.
i got some pictures and video, and we had a reporter for the seattle times, and komo tv 4 show up, they both talked with us for almost an hour.
it was great to have a couple of people share they're personal experiences about being molested with the reporters.

I CAN STILL UNFONDLY REMEMBER CLIMBING IN AND OUT OF THEM FOR SERVICE AND FEELING LIKE I WAS IN A "CLOWN CAR" AS WE UNLOADED AT THE ASSEMBLIES OR SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH YA AND I ALWAYS HAD MY"PIONEER CAR" OR SHOULD I SAY "4 DOOR SHIT-BOX ON WHEELS", YA JEHOVAH'S SPIRIT MUST HAVE KEPT SOME OF THOSE CARS GOING.
