Mardi Gras Day Parade! Who's got the biggest set ?

fun times and not a jw in sight!
i even walked away with the biggest set of beads in the whole damn parade and all i had to show was my guns.

I was so shocked to see this thread. When I was about 17 my mentally unstable mother burned every stick of furniture in our house because it was aniques and she was sure we had inherited demons with it somehow. As we were watching it burn she kept asking if we could hear them scream. uhhh. there was no noise but the crackling of the furniture. The neighbors called the police but they couldn't do anything because there is no law against burning your own stuff. My dad was completely flabbergasted when he got home. oh, the memories.

by Warlock inaccording to one of my relatives, the co said, on a recent visit, that the offer of "everlasting life" will be brief and to the point.. when street witnessing, if people refuse, do not chase them.
in the door to door work, if someone is not interested, do not persist, just leave.. according to my relative, these changes really show "how close to the end we really are".. why is it that every change is interpreted as "this change shows how close to the end we really are"?.
i have come to realize that the wts are masters at jerking people around, and i really hate it!.

I find the wording of witnesses "offering everlasting life" completely astounding. Like they are they sole peddlers of god's commodity. It just seems so condescending? I"m not sure that's the word I'm trying to use...

Crackdown on "sisters" volunteering at DCs
by dozy inthe wts has sent a letter to all convention overseers expressing their increasing concern at sisters "directing brothers" at district conventions.. with immediate effect (ie for dc 2008), sisters are no longer to be used as volunteers in parking and security / watchman departments.
any sisters volunteering in other departments (eg toilet cleaning) must be subordinate & follow the direction of appointed brothers.
this move will put a huge burden on the dcs in my area - nearly half the volunteers for parking are sisters and there aren't enough volunteers as it is.

I was always really offended when we'd meet for service and the only baptized brother there was 11 and he held the meeting over the women, many elderly. It was insulting to be directed and questioned by a little kid.

Before I starting taking Paxil, I rarely ever drank, maybe once a year and after I started Paxil, I started craving it like crazy, I drank constantly while on it. (Everyday) It caused other problems as well, but thats another topic.

Uhh, I just felt sick when I read your post, it just hit so close to home. I've been on both sides of the story, I cared for a mentally/physically ill mother for years and then myself have become quite sick: bipolar, pstd, anxiety disorders and I just feel so much guilt and shame at how much pain and suffering I've caused my loved ones by being crazy and just causing them unneccesary grief. The one thing I've taken away from it is that you can love and take care of someone who is mentally ill as long as you keep a distance to protect yourself from that black vortex that seems to suck everyone possible in around it. You have to take care of yourself first.

My husband and just got back together after a seperation. It was brutal and the hardest thing I've ever gone through, but it was good for both of us, realizing you aren't going to die without each other. We both found strength we didn't know we had. While I had always imagined the rest of my life with him I realized that I could go on alone if need be. As hard as it was, it was actually good for us both.

The doctors forget to tell you how addictive these types of drugs are. I just went through a horrible withdrawl from drugs for anxiety. Never again. There's got to be a better way to deal with it.
