Unbelief and Salvation
by lriddle80 inhebrews 6:4-8. for it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the holy spirit, 5 and have tasted the goodness of the word of god and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the son of god to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.
7 for land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from god.
8 but if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned.. but then i read articles that say that you cannot lose your salvation and that this scripture isn't talking about that.. but then 2 timothy says.

Ok. Well I guess people can forfeit their salvation with unbelief. I just don't see why anyone would want to. Once you've tasted the goodness of God and seen the miracles. I couldn't do it knowing what I know now.
I lived as an atheist for about 10 years after leaving JW and it was hell for me!
As soon as I heard that I could possibly be forgiven by Jesus I ran to him! My JW family wasn't offering forgiveness, the JW weren't offering forgiveness. Then I performed religion for 10 years and I always felt like something was missing.
Then about 5 years ago I really understood that I couldn't save myself that Jesus had to do it because he was God and I wasn't and I humiliated myself and bowed my knee. I don't feel like anything is missing now.
I think about those 2 experiences and wonder if I was in a saved state before I truly understood the gospel. I could intellectually tell you anything about the bible or salvation and i believed i was saved before, but I was missing something.
And we don't know if anyone else is saved, and maybe leaving and putting belief on hold is part of a faith journey.
Only God knows a person's heart. I want everyone to be saved because I love people and I end up caring about people and so I contend for them. That's all. So, I feel sad for you, those that choose to forfeit love. I was once that person, but thanks be to God for not leaving me there.

Hebrews 6:4-8
For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt. 7 For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. 8 But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned.
But then I read articles that say that you cannot lose your salvation and that this scripture isn't talking about that.
But then 2 Timothy says
The saying is trustworthy, for:
If we have died with him, we will also live with him;
12 if we endure, we will also reign with him;
if we deny him, he also will deny us;
13 if we are faithless, he remains faithful—for he cannot deny himself.
Some would say a person that is truly saved can not lose their salvation and that a truly saved person, sealed in the Holy Spirit would never become an unbeliever, but some have made that claim.
I would love to believe that upon profession of faith, they are saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit that no matter what happens they *have* that salvation, but I'm not so sure when I read scriptures like above.
What do you think? Let's talk about it!!

Ok. But did you realize "Jesus is God" at some point? I wrestled for over 10 years as a Christian after salvation until I admitted it. Did you ever make the leap? Just say no if you didn't.

There's no way we can cheat death. We all die. But all religion and cultures throughout time have spoken and speculated about an afterlife. We hope to have a positive outcome. Many religions try to say you have to do something yourself to get to a good outcome in the afterlife, Christianity says God did something for us because humans can not do anything for ourselves to earn it. And we can't do anything to save ourselves except put faith in the *1* who can.

God promised to save us eternally and to be "with us" as we go through suffering in this life. He sure has been with me as I have suffered and has never left me or forsaken me even though people certainly have! If there isn't a God then there truly is no love that exists and hope is no where to be found among mere selfish humans as we are at the mercy of unstable weather and evil of mankind. Meaninglessness would certainly overcome. But that's not really the case thankfully! ♥️

How did you pass the time when the Kingdom Hall meetings became boring and repetitive/
by RULES & REGULATIONS inanother boring and repetitive ''watchtower study.
'' all the articles are about the ''faithful and discreet slave.''.
for whatever reason, you tolerate this for years.

I got 1 bathroom break that I looked forward to.
I would look at the index of the bible and look up random things.
Space out.
Make jokes with my mom and sister and get in trouble for laughing! Outline the pictures and letters in the watchtower. Draw faces on the people.
Sometimes I would take notes.
I recently went to a JW funeral and couldn't pay attention. The message is so muddled its so easy to just space out. I just read Romans and stopped listening.

Careful what you wish for! Regarding Jehovah in the New Testament
by pizzahut2023 inok i'll bite.. let's say for a moment that jehovah's witnesses are right, and that the nt autographs (the originals) contained the tetragrammaton.let's say that the nt writers always wrote "jehovah" in greek (iexoba, as the witnesses spell it currently) when they quoted the hebrew scriptures, whether they quoted from the hebrew version or the septuagint, and jehovah's name appeared on the quote.
let's say that the original septuagint always had iexoba whenever they were referring to jehovah.then we have that the original septuagint said in psalms 101:26-28 the following:"at the beginning it was you, o jehovah, who founded the earth, and the heavens are works of your hands.
they will perish, but you will endure, and they will all become old like a garment.

The Watchtower and JW will resort to gaslighting or say something ridiculous that isn't logical to explain anything away. When I saw that they changed verses in the bible and that they all had to do with the deity of Christ, I saw this was a conspiracy. They are deceiving people. The best liars mix some truth into it. So they are careful about preserving a lot of truth. I heard a story of how they were so careful to get the type of wine correct for the memorial. Why? Because the memorial is a rejection of Jesus. But getting the details right adds to the validity of the deception. We were duped. Our loved ones are duped. We escaped the watchtower, but then we continue the deception by saying God isn't real and guess what? The Watchtower wins again because their original plan is to keep people from being saved by rejecting Jesus! It's genius, really, if you think about it! Evil genius.
